Michigan International Speedway 1969, the inaugural race...he's a local southern boy...should be easy to the local vets.

And the winner is......Doc Faustina!!! Way to narrow it down. Same race day as Spencer and Sears photos. Not sure if this was an ARCA race since I don't recognize the #55 in the back ground.
Nice job!
PS. Bar + Rednecks + Racers + Woman...not a good combination. Ah the good ol' days.

Similar experience except it was a bar + marines + paratroopers + woman. Paratroopers won, end of story.

That's me in 1983 in the 82nd Airborne Division Fort Bragg, NC

LOL! So I guess you don't remember seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan? Wait...you probably don't know who Ed Sullivan is either!! Never mind.
I'll tell you this much...growing up in the 1960's as a kid and 1970's as a teen was some of the best of times. Besides Vietnam not being popular among the freaks (hippies) it was a great time to grow up in the U S of A.

Couldn't have said that better. We threw rocks on the railroad tracks for entertainment and smoked cigarette butts taken from my buddies Dad's ash tray. I worked the stock yards whipping live stock off the trucks for .10 cents an hour back in `66. I use to ride the train at age 7 to Tasty Freeze ice cream and buy a small cone for that same dime ( I actually ran along side of the train and climbed the latter and held on for a mile then jumped). My parents were oblivious to what I was doing, they thought I was playing in the backyard or something. I played softball as a kid and rode my bike to the games, my parents never came to watch, well maybe once or twice. Life was good, eat, sleep and get into mischief.
Well I still eat, sleep and get into mischief but at least I quit smoking.

No, still got a boot cast on, but i can take it off at night time, but still can't put no weight on the foot.......Got to use one of damn walkers, and trust me, they are a pain in the a**, next doctors appointment is Oct 8th. maybe something then. I got one bone that don't want to heal right, and it might require a little more attention, that's a kind way of putting it.
