Man, those are great pictures. I feel like I missed a lot, cause as a kid, these cars were on the other coast. All I could do was build models from pictures I saw in old Stock Car magazines (wish I still had 'em) and dream about places like Flemington, Syracuse and all the other old NE tracks. Of course even now, I don't get to see these old cars without a lot of travel.

I'm a member of the 3wide forum but like I mentioned in the introduction...most of the people posting threads on the site are from PA, NJ, and NY and it's really all foreign to me and others I know when they talk about their experiences. I feel a little left out of the conversation. I by no means would want to discourage anyone from any part of the country from posting a message in this forum. What the intentions are is to make a neutral forum where we can all share our thoughts, ideas and news.
However, everyone on 3wide are very pleasant.
Great photos by the way. Did you enjoy the Darlington show? I've been to car shows but nothing compared to this, the Darlington event was a real treat, I had chills run up my back and it was hot and humid there.

We have no geographical boundaries here on Local Race. I myself, am from Delaware, and have made many friends and have meet some at the different tracks we race. We have a antique club in Delaware, plus a club they call the Little Lincoln cars. As far as posting about the old cars in the vintage forum, go for it. There are many members here that really enjoy the old cars as much as I do. Keep posting and if you know of sites that have the old cars, post them for us.

Beltsville and Dorsey both and a few times to Upper Marlboro

I have been there , when I lived in Maryland I was a Regular at Beltsville Speedway from 1965 thru 1972 then Special Late Model Sportsman Races till it closed !!!

I know what you mean Racerchaser , I have been to Dorsey a few times when they used to have the Big Figure Eight Races and I've also been to Upper Marlboro they used to Race on Wednesday Nights and seen some good racing there saw Ray Hendrick shaking down a new Chevelle and lapping the field that night , I have a Ton of memories up there !!!
