This year, the Carolina Clash co-sponsored the USA 100 with the MACS at Virginia Motor Speedway. It's a long haul for the drivers of both series but continues to be an excellent race for the fans. The USA 100 is held on a Saturday night and there has been some mention that a benefit to Dixieland Speedway might be realized by hosting the Carolina Clash series on the Friday night before the USA 100 or having some special SLM race at Dixieland to host drivers from both series, such as is being done at VMS. Both tracks are on US Hwy. 17 and reasonably close together. Usually, when you can provide two races in close proximity, the car counts can be increased. Any of you Dixieland fans think that might be a possibility or something of interest to talk about as a suggestion to the track management?

Although I've only bee there once since it's on Fridays and it's impossible to get off work early enough, I'd definately work something out on a Friday to head down for something like that.

Maybe change the date for the runwhatchabrung? Would be nice to have a real super show at the track, they rarely get cars visiting and suffer from low car counts from time to time. When was the last time the track had to have a B main?
