Glad to see someone willing to open the gates up there and run something. But with all the talk about the track being sold to the nascar star and Phil Hall being the new promotor, why would anyone need to call Bobby? Maybe people dont know what they think they know?:icon_coffiecup:

It does come RJ and my guess is since it said call Bobby, then thats whos still in charge and untill somebody else can prove otherwise thats the info I'd go with.:cool_shades:

Bobby said he wanted to see what kind of feedback he would get with Steel Heads so if you want to race em call him and call your friends to call him too. He also said that he MIGHT run a race this weekend. so my guess would be if he gets enough interest by Wed you will see it open this weekend.

I don't think Badboyz21 is welcome at 311 anymore, that's what Bobby told me anyway.:no34:

just to clear up what I was saying about not believing anything till it comes from RJ, I meant about the track being sold, that's why I ain't got caught up in all these forums bout it being sold. But anyway, thanks for the update RJ, good to hear something u can believe. Hope there is a race this week, I won't b able to go, but at least others who have been waiting for the track to open back up will get to see a race.

I think Badboyz21 and the 15 people that go with me to the track every weekend found a new home at friendship... So did quite a few others. But, if he dont want me there thats fine. I just promoted myself to his negative campaign manager.

Listen If Bobby says he is going to open this weekend I hope everyone gets out there and supports the track. Friendship maybe your best track around but it sure it is not everyones. So do not try to shut down 311 before we get it open back up. Badboyz21 I am glad for the info you have given us. If the owner has given you this information we are glad you passed it on, if he has told you the truth it will come out, if he has not told you the truth it is not your fault you was only trying to let us all know what we were trying to find out, at least this is how I feel about it. And I hope what ever your problems with Bobby are get resolved and you also support 311. So all of the people wanting 311 open spread the word and make a showing if the track is open, I know I will be there if he does not cut his regular classes.:dirt_race:

Racingfan, I will always support 311. Just as i will always defend myself and family and friends, as would 99% of the other people out here. I consider myself well educated and a well accomplished business owner and take pride in everything I say or do. I knew that some people would respond negatively towards my post. But, as you say, I was just passing on. I had all intentions of running 311 this weekend and bringing half the state of Connecticut with me because my family is in town. But if I am not welcome for just stating what I was told, then I guess at one time or another everyone has stated something bad about 311 and NONE of us would be welcomed. Thing is, what I said was not bad. It would be the best thing in years to happen in most people's minds. Friendship is not running superstreets this weekend, and who know what 311 is going to do. So, I guess I will have to stay home another weekend. Heck we had 10 go-carts out back last nite racing. Thats 4 more then any race this year in superstreet at 311.. lmao.. Anyways, I didnt mean for anyone to get any hard feelings, I just type what I am thinking or am told.

Don't feel bad it's not the first time someone was misinformed about the track being sold and it won't be the last time either. As long as Bobby has it in his hands I won't beleive nothing I hear until I see it. just wish someone would run the track rather than let it sit during the racing season.

Bill White calls me on the Cell phone wanting to know information out about the track...
Bill White sounds exactly like Bobby Johns to me.
2 Minutes after i get off the phone, Bobby amazingly talks to my brother in law... DUH, guess he didnt know its a small world after all. Maybe there is a Bill White, but sounded a whole heck a lot like Booboboy to me.

Another thing... No superstreets this weekend at 311.... Hmmm , with friendship not running SS's, seems to me he would run them and the steel heads. Probably have a good turn out.

Let me help by clearing up the air as to who owns the race track.
I have seen a lot of post on here and a lot of confusing mess about this subject.
First off rumor has it that Jerry Friddle and David #ick still are partners.
That one is false,(FACT)Jerry has been out of that loop since (Jaybird) David #ick ran it the first season after we left.
Second:Bobby Johns is still making the payment to Jaybird and at this time he still has control.
Third: Shrader,Stewart,Harvick nor Childress or anyone else has purchased the track.
I say this because as of last week Jaybird has not been contacted by anyone from the track,bank,attorneys or anyone else, and he should be the first to know seeing how he and only he holds the note on the track.
Yes it is still showing the same info at the courthouse in records as it was when Jerry sold it to Jaybird and that reason being he bought the track and it was and is still set up as a corporation and he never changed the corporation name.
As for the future of 311 I havent a clue,but i will be the first to say it is a shame because some of you know the effort both physically and financially put into that place by our family when it was bought from Bob Andrews.
Hopefully it will recover and once again be the best track on the East Coast,either by Bobby or someone who truly knows its potential.

Probably because that was just one of the rumors circling around over the last few days.
Seems to be a whole lot of that here lately.
