I know the 30th BIG Open Wheel, Super Street, Late Model, U-Car, Young Guns race is on 30 Aug. but if you still need to get some racing thrills on Aug 30-31, Darlington Speedway is hosting the inaugural Darlington Historic Racing Festival that weekend. There will be many past legends there to include David Pearson, Junior Johnson, Cotton Owens, Bud Moore, Darrell Waltrip and more. Plus, the xXx "White Lightning" Modified 37 Chevy humpback sedan will be there as well as the DoubleZero's modified 37 Ply coupe plus, many, many more cool vintage stock cars, Indy, Sprint and more. There will be exhibition laps on the track by some of the cars including, I hoping, the xXx Chevy. Aug 30-31 at Darlington. Tickets are only $15, children under 12 are free. Come out and stop by the displays visit a spell. You won't be disappointed!
