PLEASE adopt the mandatory raceceivers! most of the drivers already have them from racing at FMS. the constant 6-7 lap cautions are rediculous.

I have to agree. Getting out at 2am with an 1.5 hour drive home hurt.....
I'm sure the flagman thought I was frustrated at him last night...I was a bit animated...but I couldn't understand why we couldn't the show moving. I'm sure he was just trying to get everyone lined back up, but sheesh it took forever.

We have had a bunch of nights like that in the past. That's the past!!!!!!!!! Doesn't matter how good the flagman and race directors are. Some nights its just not much else they can do. I have been screaming raceceivers for three years. Now Clary's uses em and if we dont have the show done between 1045 and 1115 we are not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!:icon_pimp:

Well I will say I saw at least 50 times the flagman let them go ANOTHER lap under yellow, when he could have just turned out the lights when the leaders were in turns 1 and 2.......It seemed like he thought it was always NECESSARY to give them, Clinched green before they went...................
He needs to tell the drivers what I have always told them in the drivers meeting......EVEN BEFORE RACEIEVER.........PAY ATTENTION......if the lights are out on the track we are going green..................................
RACEIEVERS would have shaved an hour off of the show, AND HEAT RACES HEAT RACES HEAT RACES...........QUALIFING almost a 100 cars SUCKS, not only for time but for the FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Guess we all want to be drag racers! Race against the clock.:drivecar:

There were a few fans infront of me that said they got there at 8:00 and stayed until 12:00 that was the start of the Super Stock race, and said they watched 2 races, that lasted about 45 mins and watched 3hrs 15mins of practice and qualifing.......... THEY LEFT BEFORE THE SUPERS and said it was to late, and would not be back to watch cars racing the clock all night..........

well i was at a drivers meetin at a track and his dad spoke up and asked could they Qualify and not heat race and his reason was because they tear alot of stuff up during a heat race well this same guy got his wish and they qualified but he hit everything but the Concession stand that night and spun out good lord 5 times so its all in how the racers wanna act nothing on the track officals but if they cant get in line once send them to the rear or even better to the HOUSE

i had two kids with me one who was excited seeing how he never seen this before now I dont think he'll wanna go cause i stayed til 1230 and only seen 6 laps of racing in OWM had to go but gosh they had to know they would be packed should have started waaaaaayyyyy earlier:Think::19mauer::19mauer::19mauer:
Raceceivers would help out and speed things up, however some of the drivers could have helped out last night. Several times the track official gave directions to some drivers, but they would not get in place....in my opinion, once given the directions and they don't fall in place...send him off the track. If they question the call, stop when he is pointing at them to clear the issue up. JMO

Hard to start early on a Fri nite....most of the drivers get off work and leave for the track. Usually, the majority of the drivers don't start arriving until around 615-630 pm. We're usually out by midnight, however with 83 cars on Friday night, I knew it would be later than midnight. Sat racing, gates usually open at other tracks anywhere from 3 pm to 4 pm and it seems to be no problem due to most people are off from work.

You are right it is hard to start any earlier on a Friday.............. Thats why they need to heat race everyone except the Supers.............and if the guys dont want to heat race, then just do a practice and start the feature with a blind draw, or better yet INVERTED BY POINTS...........:blue9:

Charlie you could have your heat races and the ones that want to race put them in the draw for the starting position after the ones that did run the races. I'll bet in 2 weeks everyone will run in their heat race...................

I thought they done the Young Guns wrong at Dublin Friday night. I believe they told them at the drivers meeting that they were going back to enforcing the speed on the YG and that if they exceeded the speed they would be given one warning and then pulled off the track if they continued exceeding the speed. There was no warning given and of course the top five were pulled off the track. At the end of the race after the checker flag was dropped and the winner was in the winner circle getting his picture taken they come and told him that he did not win because he was exceeding the speed as well as the next two behind him. What was up with that. Do you know how heart broken this FIRST time winner was or didn't they care?

If you're a Young Gun and u were at the drivers meeting that was your warning. Don't go over the lap time. It's good to finally see Dublin reinforcing what they're saying.
They were told and Chuck had a meeting with them after the driver's meeting. If I'm not mistaken, the parents had a say in this also. I agree with drtfan...some of the drivers have a throttle stop installed and the remaining are running away......GOOD CALL

this will open the same can of worms all over again, but what the hell... some are for heat's, some are against it. i for one, am for qualifying. you can say what you want about better for the fans, or experience, but you have about 5 or 6 cars out there that stay in good shape, well taken care of, and run at the front, then you have 9 or 10 that are beat all to hell, run at the back and are all over the track. i just have a hard time accepting pulling a starting position out of a hat... and putting my car in the back with the cars that are ALL OVER THE PLACE, pedal to the metal until its too late, kind of drivers. i know this will offend people, but i just get tired of spending money and working on my car because someone that does NOT belong out there slammed into my car out of control. i dont mind fixing the car for my drivers error, or a racing incident, but not for other peoples ignorance. you all can jump my case all you want, and get all bent out of shape just like last time, as if it matters, but hey, whatever floats your boat. i thank dms and fms for qualifying cars. with times the way they are, we dont need any more tore up equipment that we absolutely have to.

patrick you are so right, and i know i am going to piss some people off with this but why do the guys that run in the back of the pack always want to run heat races???? is it so they can tear up the other cars as they go by them or they just want to go ride around. We spend way too much money and time in our car to see somebody who is running a junkyard special tear us up while passing them. I say dublin sets a min. lap time for classes if you cant run that time or better get off the track. i will not call out names on here but there were several cars out there that were getting lapped in two laps of racing. And i second the race recievers makes thing so much easier. So bash me if you want but i have my opinion too.

The track could make running transponders mandatory and put five cars on the track at the same time and give you five laps. Your best time is your qualifying time. This would also be your practice session. VMS does something similar to this. I think this would speed up the program. JMO

I Would Think A Driver Would Love That Format, qualifying And Practicing At The Same Time....excellent Idea...what Would Be The Downfalls?

group qualifying kinda stinks if you get behind someone thats all over the place or worse yet they keep spinning out....you back off a lap you run 2 laps and then your done...i have seen it happen at charlotte...i think 10 at a time on the track...it was mayhem....lol....

Up here vdog, you spin during the group timing session, and your done, and your time is your best lap you turn after you took the green but we only time 4(?) at a time and they are spaced over the track so no one is on another cars bumper. it works real good, also Lucas oil series uses the group qualifying.

I agree with u guys chaser, anything to speed up the show is gonna be a good thing. 4 at a time is a good number. i remember them using them at a lucas show but i can't remember where...who cares..lol ..point is you have a point...lol i am only guessing if you spin out in the groove or at the bottom and bring out a caution your fastest time up to that point will be your qualifying lap.....
could work..now we only need transponders...lol

VMS this year. Austin Hubbard had a bad run. Ricky qualified 8th. Started outside pole in his heat race. You are about the spin during timing, spin and your done. but generally the spacing of cars keeps you from getting into the spin. As far as transponder go, they are not that expensive at all, and also eliminates the question of who is on the lead lap................
