I visited CLR for the first time in a good while on Sat. night. I was disappointed the first time and disappointed this last time. Maybe its because its "just the good ol boys" kind of racing that I like to see, but the officials make me so irritated. They need some training of some kind. Train the flag man to do it right. There is a certain way to flag, and if you don't care you just let the flag drop and hang there (then sometimes there is no flag and the drivers I guess are looking at the lights in the corners to know whats going on.) I saw this the first time I visited the track. Like I said it had been awhile, so maybe things on that have improved some, but this time...oh my gracious! Apparently, they wanted the 4g to get off the track, and were black flagging him. I can see you coming down in front of the car and standing there with the holding the flag up, if the driver didn't see you and you were making a point. All fine and good, until the official took the flag and started beating on the car. This was so unprofessional of whoever the official was. I couldn't believe my eyes. If you flip the bill on the car (as most drivers out there do), and are having a bad night, you can pound that car all you want to. If you don't you should keep your hands off...just that simple...and for it to be an official, someone that should be conducting himself professionally. Not like a driver who has been driving in terrible heat (i could totally see the temper coming out in the driver in the situation he's in...its not like he's riding in air conditioning, and then to be caught in a wreck or something thats understandable)...but at any rate, thats just my thoughts...they needed to come out...maybe they'll get some training courses for these officials...but I did enjoy watching the guys actually racing - now that was some good racing...just disappointed about the professionalism of the track officials.

One night it's going to happen to the wrong driver. And that's all my input on that one.

I agree to a point. and not directed to anyone at all but a black flag means your out and when its to be debated on the track is not for negotiations racevers would help. I do belive that time is wasted by having to have an offical come down on to the track to get a point across to any driver. BUT THEN AGAIN THANK GOD THIS ANT NASCAR thank you drivers for the show you guys put on and track officals for your dedication to the sport

The 4g had been giving the black flag several times! He wasnt even in the right class. The track is on a tight schedule.Im not trying to defend the flagman but these drivers have to obey the flags too.
