First of all I would like to apologize to James, the track staff, and the Mod 4s for this past Sat. nite. I don't really know why I thought the Mod 4 race was over, except I saw a car go out the gate between 1 and 2 turns. I have never been more embarrassed in my life and can assure you it won't happen again. Not making excuses for myself or my behavior but my doctor put me on some new medication and combined with a couple of beers probably had something to do with it. I also worked a ton of hours that week combined with a lost cell phone and a blown motor in my truck all in the same week didn't help the situation. I can assure you from now on, no beer or medication will be consumed until after the races. Again I offer my sincere apology to all.

Howard mistakes happen to the best of us. Thats all it was a mistake. But, also I did see track officials being a little ill natured toward you, and in my opinion that was just simple BS! They have no right what so ever to be that way toward ANY driver, yall are what keeps a racetrack alive! They need to learn to give drivers more respect than they do, because all they are end up doing is running alot of drivers off and then there going to end up having to close down because of not having a decent car count.
Also, so what if you had a couple beer I will guarentee you there are more than 1 driver out there thats had a beer or 2, Im not encouraging racing and drinking Im just stating a point. But glad to hear you will from now on wait till after the race to have yourself a few.

Howard Dean 4G :No:It takes a real man to admit he was wrong and to get on LRC and apologize to every one he made a mistake just proves what type of person Howard is . What happenned sat night is not just Howards fault. There are others at fault too, but i wont get into all that . Howard just go back out there sat and show them what your made of!!!!!!!!:drivecar:

first of all, no driver nor pit member is suppose to be drinking till after the race, maybe actions like this is the reason.... and I agree, the flagman wasnt wasting time to climb off of the stand and show the black flag. Not too many agreed with that, however, both situations are behind yall now, so go back Saturday and have a better time!

First of all wick I understand your point, and your right I would not want to be in that boat either I was not the CREWCHIEF for the 4G SAT NIGHT BUT MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN . Then maybe this would not have happened . I usally crew for the 4, 4G and 63 but the other night I feel I let them down . Also I did not mention the black flag that was a whole differnt story I will not bash the track that is between and Howard and the track But this weekend will be different WE WILL SHOW THEM AND YOU WHAT WE GOT

yea I understand ur point too Walton, but what im sayin is if they only drink maybe 1 or 2 whats wrong with that?
yeah Greg was not crewcheifing the 4g or the 4 Saturday night, the only car Greg was involved with was the 63 car. Greg is a dang good crewchief and I havent seen him out of hand.

If something, anything goes wrong in the pits and you have to be transported to the hospital, who pays, you my friend , because it says in the rules no alcohol in the pits. Pretty cut and dry deal.
niterider -takes a pretty good man to admit fault and you took the first step. Sounds like you did have a tough week, but I recommend to turn to the main man for help. He won't steer you wrong and I can assure you that you'll find better answers than what the alcohol/stress gives.

We ALL screw up every now and then. Youre not the only one. We all do. Just learn from it, watch yourself and your choices and actions better from now on, and move on with it.

No alcohol should be consumed in the pit until after the race by anyone in the pit area.
PERIOD!
Howard, it takes a big man to lay everything on the line like that and admit your fault. Now head up, and have some fun Saturday night.
