I thought FMS and Carolina Clash had an agreement that no Crazy 8 / Carolina Clash race would be ran on the same night? August 2 is Crazy 8 and the Clash will be at Wythe, Va....

OK, so which one? Fayetteville's going to run Supers for about five consecutive openings, I was told, and Wythe doesn't normally juggle its schedule around too much. (Remember, Weeks and Rambo and the others who have run the full schedule can miss a couple and still be eligible for the Clash "Chase." Weeks has something at stake at Fayetteville, but could miss a race and still have the lead. Both Weeks and Rambo can afford to blow off Wythe - though they both run extremely well there and it pays more money than a Crazy 8 show at FMS - and still make the Chase with ease.

But here's another scenario to consider, and this is me just thinking aloud:

Suppose the Lucas Oil guys and FMS really wanted to reschedule the rained-out June 21 race. Say, ohhhh, a Sunday show that follows the Friday-Saturday doubleheader at Rome/Dixie that's scheduled to end the season. But that'd fall on the same weekend of the Clash Bash @ FMS ... and could the Bash be moved to later in October when there's not as much competition for cars and fans?

I'm not trying to start a rumor. I'm JUST WONDERING ...

I'm just sayin' ... LOL ...
