any weather updates this morning from anybody near the track...

weather.com says "cloudy early with scattered thunderstorms developing in the afternoon." chance of the 'R' word 40% today, 50% tonight.

wunderground radar shows some rain around Charlotte, and in motion, if it keeps the same path, it looks like it's headed north of Fayetteville. We'll see :-)

best part of the move to today is it gives the track time to rework the dirt. it was like soup at 6 o'clock yesterday and it's a miracle they whipped it into any kind of shape at all - but you could tell by the Clash guys' times that it was a good 2-2.5 seconds slower than normal.

maybe he have a good run at Fms like Clary's. seen him run before at fms and he was fast and awesome.

he had a really fast Q time and i thought that was going to be good enough for 10 12 but it was just a little outside and if it would have stopped raining it was uncontrolable but tacky

Any updates. I know it was said that they were going to start back at 2 this afternoon.

Also if someone does get updates would love to know if Brent stayed and how many cars are still there for the clash event.

Thanks

Weeks had a good run considering he had to race-in and coming out to win the feature. Robinson had a good run as well, with that spin up there in the first few laps.

The local boys had a GREAT showing today with Shawn Beasley leading 20 of the 40 laps before coming home in 14th, also Scott Neighbors ran GREAT also, running 3rd when he lost the handle off of 2 and to come home with a 9th place finish isn't bad. Job well done to the both of you!! Sorry but you can't forget the other locals David Taylor, Mike MAson, SCott Autry, Craig Schufield, The Blackwell Boys, Roger Lucas. All made the show and ran well. Sorry if I left anyone off.

In Open Wheel only 5 cars finished out of I think 10 and those were

00 David Hart
19 Eric Menscer
14 Jordan Taylor
7 Benji Thompson
F5 Richard Clew

Travis Yow was running good in 1st when I think his motor blew or something went wrong. Congrats to David Hart!!

Great job to those that could keep their tie rod ends together. I hate it for Travis. I'm sure he'll be back next week though!

the tires on ours didnt look that bad but the track was uncontrolable really that much rain man its just hard to work on it and it was a DAY race but it will be better next time for sure glad they got it in when they did cause we got WET the bottom fell out

Dustin you and Scott always end up running together the whole race but good Q time and great racing all over D8 will be full time next year running for Rookie of the year in the clash :dance_guy:
