Am I wrong or does anyone agree with me that it was a mistake and bad idea for Dublin and Hammerdown to bed together? I have been going to Dublin for many years and loved it. It was my favorite track until recently when they decided to get together with hammerdown. I have seen Dublin go down hill big time since then I don't even go to Dublin now and miss it dearly,so please someone tell me is it just me or do others feel the same.I would like to thank you guys for your post it helps keep me updated on whats going on at my use to be favorite track.

I think a couple of us on here said it wasn't a very beneficial business move on Dublin's part. But I dont think that has anything to with their problems or perceived problems.

Personally I think the venture has some merits, especially for the racer and trying to keep the car count up between the two. Good car count should equate to people in the seats. I think there are other issues going on, track prep seems to be one of them. If Dublin rolled the track in a bit more would provide better action. Last time we went, it was a mud bog on the inside of the track.

I think it would be a good idea if one of the local tracks raced on a Sunday afternoon, that way a verturesome racer and fan could see racing every day of the weekend by thowing FMS in the mix. Call it a mini-touring series if you will.

Long winded opinion, but I don't think the partnership with Hammerdown has anything to do with anything going on at Dublin. I like Dublin as a track and want nothing but the best for it and the fans.

well my last visit at Dublin I noticed the car count was down the grandstands was way down new officials and flagman were new and not that great doing there job i guess before i say i'm never going back i will go this weekend and see if it has improved since about a month ago. Thanks for all opionions.but my husband hates hammerdown due to working for them last season before they decicded to go BIG TIME like Dublin and says they aren't getting a penny of his money but i would like to go just to see if they have thier act together.

If you don't go, you will never know. You won't be disappointed.

Car count at all tracks have decreased some due to the economy plus there is alot of broken cars being worked on by the drivers. DMS and Hammerdown working together offers the drivers a little more money (bonus program) if they decide to go after it. I've noticed a decrease in fans at all the tracks and again I think it has to do with the situation we're in. Blaming issues on the officials and flagman....well that happens at all tracks. I can recall one race where the track prep was bad, but overall I think the track has been good this season.

My opinion is that WE ARE LUCKY to have 3 tracks (DMS/FMS/HAMMERDOWN) all within 45 min of each other to visit or race at. Many areas, you're driving 2-3 hours to get to a track. Let the drivers race where they like it......let the owners operate the tracks how they want to...let the fans visit where they want.....just my 2 cents........
