well because of issues here I could not be in two places at one time but I knew I should have headed to Potomac and put off what I had to do Friday...LOL.......I know good and well I would have seen a great race and I would have gotten the added bonus of being there for Boop's win......

You guy's didn't miss much It really was only a 4 car race. Once Booper took the lead there were no challenges. Our superlate class is becoming a super limited class. Its half and half.

Super Booper Collects Summerfest 40

Budds Creek MD- Rockbridge Baths Virginia's Booper Bare made his first Potomac Speedway start of the season a good one as he drove off to his first Super Late Model feature win of the season on Coors Light Night at Potomac Speedway.

Special thanks to Joe Bozick and Bozick Distributors for there continued support of the speedway.

The $2000.00 win of the speedwayfor Bare , a two time Potomac Speedway Super Late Model Track Champion, was his division leading 46th career win at the fabled Southern Maryland Oval.

Darryl hills and Paul Crowl brought the field to the initial green flag. Crowl a heat race winner earlier in the evening got the jump on Hills and took the early race lead. Meanwhile sixth place starting Bare had worked his way to second by lap six. Bare then tracked down leader Crowl and made what would be the winning pass for the lead on lap nine. Bare would then lead the remaining circuits unchallenged to score the very popular win. " It's always nice to win here", Bare stated from victory lane. We were headed to Elkins Speedway tonight but they got rained out early so we decided to make the four hour tow to Potomac and here we are.

One time winner Jmaie Lathroum came strong for second, early leader Paul Crowl ended a great night third, three time winner and current ponts leader David Williams fourth and former track champion Ray Kable Jr crossed the line fifth. Heats for the 19 cars went to Keith Jackson, Bare and Crowl.

In the sixteen lap Coors Light Street Stock main event it was P.J. Hatcher picking up his third win of the season.Hatcher took the lead on the start and never looked back. Chuck Bowie took second, third Kurt Zimmerman, fourth Jimmy Jesmer, and rounding out the top five was Ed Pope. Heats went to Hatcher and Pope. The Midas Hard Charger Award winner was 12th place starter Kurt Zimmer who worked his way to third.

In other action Rich Marks picked up his first career Potomac win in the Modifed division, Larry Fuchs ended Greg Gunters six race win streak as he took his first win of the season in The Gunters Honey 4 Cylinder main event. Troy Kassiris romped to his second win of the season in the 15 Lap Sunoco Race Fuel Hobbystock main.

Join Potomac Speedway this Friday June 27 for a regular show with The Late Models, Street Stocks, Hobbystocks,Strictly Stocks and Hornets. The Strictly Stocks and Hornets will have a special autograph session at intermission.

Mark your calendars for Thursday Night July 3 for our Annual Fireworks Show on Ken Dixon Automotive Night. The Super Late Models, Late Models, Street Stocks, Hobbystocks, and 4 Cylinders will be on hand for a full night of action.
