Racerchaser back in sevice (kind/sorta)

June 7th I went to Broadkill Beach (our summer place on the Delaware Bay) for a meeting and ride on the beach with my cat. And I was picking up horseshoe crabs and putting them in the back of the body of the cat and taking them back down to the water line, a few of them had gone above the high water line and had dug in, so instead of letting them die up there, I was trying to be a good guy and put them back in the water. Had made 3 or 4 trips doing this and on this last trip I got off the cat and went to back to see if everything had dumped out and when I turned to go back up to the cat I turned and my ankle didn't, so basically my body turned and my ankle was planted. It broke my ankle in 4 different places around the socket.Man did that smart. So 68 stitches, 46 claps, 4 screws and 2 plates later, I'm back at 305 North Front Street, Georgetown Del. (aka Lower/Slower). Now before anyone says anything, "thats right, them crabs are on there own from now on, "SORRY ABOUT THEIR LUCK". It happened down the beach about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from our place and some how I managed to get myself back on the cat and up to the cottage and then Judy called 911 and about a half hour or so later we where on our way to Milford Memorial Hospital.
I am now in a wheel chair for 8 to 10 weeks then in a soft cast for about 4 more weeks.

Poor Bill..... Well atleast I know I can expect you in Monday night chat LOL.. I am glad you are doing better!!! I fell outside of my trailer at the bottom of the steps in the summer (air conditioner was on, no-one could hear), I beat on the underpinning and finally crawled up about 6 steps into the house before anyone knew I was hurt. I just had a sprain,but I could not put any weight on it whatsover. Atleast it was just a sprain for me. My gosh, that crap sounds so painful. I feel for ya!! We missed you!!
