Tommy Armel took the jump at the green and the early lead over Kris Eaton, his lead was short lived though as Eaton in the Shutts Racing machine took the lead and began to pull away. Meanwhile coming from the twelth spot was Bo Feathers in the Dietz racing machine, he steadily worked his way through the field, bypassing car after car and then surging into the second spot.
Kris Eaton held a strong lead but as Feathers took second, Eaton was hitting lapped traffic. Finally in lapped traffic Feathers took advantage and took the lead. Also on the move late in the race was 8 th starting Allen Brannon who would take second as the race wound down to its conclusion.
At the checker it was Feathers taking his third of the year, Brannon was second, early leader Armel was third, Kris Eaton held for fourth, and Wes Bonebrake put in another solid run in fifth.
Heats for the 24 cars went to Bo Feathers, Kris Eaton, and Tommy Armel.
