That was quite an accident! Was the driver okay?

They kept announcing that he was OK and several people with scanners said he was OK, but it took them quite some time to get him off the track.

The ambulance at the track usually just takes the drivers to a waiting EMT vehicle that is called, out in the parking lot. This time, even a large rescue vehicle showed, but didn't come on the track, and left shortly after arriving. As you can see from subsequent pictures, that EMT vehicle stayed at the track for some time and I am not sure they even took the driver to the hospital?
