Looks like it's time for Dublin to dump the Supers as well. Maybe once or twice a month. I don't see the point with the poor support their getting from this class.

got to agree--what is the thought on a mini tour between the supers on a rotation---fms,dms,clarys etc.---its been talked about alot and only makes sense now.Why dont somebody who knows somebody go talk to somebody. The track owners in the area need to talk to each other and do some creative thinking to keep the supers and the fans coming.jmo---dont forget about mr millers track down in lakeview ,his track would be a great one to add to such a rotation-----all the tracks could benefit by creating some excitement around the race program when the supers were at there track .The fans would love it and would most likely follow it.again jmho

True---but our locals dont run at clash events to much unless its at there home track===Im talkin in addition to clash tour, where the likes of hair, smith, sugar bear and other locals could travel to clarys and face there non clash guys,so on and so forth.I dont know, I just hate to see whats happening now with them...The llm guys have stepped up and done some serious racing this year though!!!Hats off to them

The LLM guys put on a heck of a show and that just proves that you don't need to run Supers every weekend to see some good racing. I am bias towards the Supers but give me a break, we are seeing some hardcore racing between the Limited boys.

I think the limited put on as good of a show as the supers do. And on smaller tracks like Clarys, Hammerdown, and County Line I really can't tell alot of difference in the two classes.

Dublin officials announced (at Friday's driver's meeting) the super late model class will continue, and on a weekly basis.

They need to come up with something. The supers are SUPPOSED to be the best race of the night, but with only 5 cars it's difficult to put on a show that will have the fans coming back. I know moneys tight everywhere and with everything, but they've got to find a way to get back to the days of 16-25 supers a night.

Think it's just a "Dublin" problem? Consider this: The Carolina Clash started 20 cars this past Saturday night at Lancaster, SC. According to posted reports, 21 cars were on hand, but one failed to start. Of the 20 super late models that started the event, four of them: Craig and Jim Shuffield, Scott Neighbors, and Ed Gibbons had "Dublin/Fayetteville" connections. Therefore, only SEVENTEEN "other" super late models were on hand. Times is hard, and gas is high everywhere.

what do you think about giving the late models more money, maybe running the supers every other week??? maybe run supers on off weeks of the clash?? so little ed, the shuffields, neighbors, boahn, and others can be in attendance?!?!?!
$1500 late model
$1000 open wheel
$750 super street
and then your youngs guns and u car classes???
seems like you have a good field of everything else, maybe by paying the guys more who already support you it will encourage some of the regular sat night racers to come out making fields bigger and bringing fans. I know gas prices are going crazy but more money may help offset some of the costs of the guys who are already there on a weekly basis!?!?!
just a thought.....

sounds good to me lol....heck they were gonna cut out SS all together last yr bc they had btwn 5-7 cars and SS is only $525 to win..but instead they kept the class and cut the purse well...the SLM has had low car counts for atleast a month now and they still get the big $$ and actually they have the lowest car count of all the classes...not good...not good at all..i like the SLM and i travel to other tracks to watch them but dang
I agree with the earlier comments regarding the late models. I've seen some great racing in this class at FMS this year.

The present economic conditions, and they aren't likely to change, has really clouded the concept and the future of the super late model. Now, even the touring series are strained. It is, what it is. The limited lates are healthy and growing. I agree that if greater emphasis was to be placed on that class, the results would be positive and immediate.

Agreed. I'm not even going to refer to them as "limited" anymore.

I think Lancaster and Laurens have always had less than 24 cars when the Clash visits.

:wow_NBS: Scary but we agree again. I may not be correct on this on dont have the time to look it up, maybe someone else will. But I dont belivie either of those tracks run a true super late model weekly, so come touring time dont have very many to pull from.
