It's a new mod I added called vb Experience. The medals I am still trying to figure out, they are given when you reach a certain amount of points for various things you do on the site. Look in your profile and click the vb Experience tab for a rundown of your points. You can also click on any users name in a post to see theirs too.

This is what I know so far.

vBExperience is an advanced level and activity system. It will calculate an activity and experience score for every user based on their activities on the forum. Users will see how their level is increasing by participating on your forum.

Communities are not only defined by post count, they need much more parameters: Are the postings the user creates helpful? Are his threads frequently read? Does the user participate on the community by posting pictures, attachments, leaving visitor messages, tagging threads?


There are mainly four things visible for the users: The users score, his level, his next level up in % and his activity in %.

Calculation of the score
Taken into calculation are these things:
Threads
- Created threads
- Thread views of own threads
- Thread replies of own threads
- Thread votes of own threads
- Thread tags (vBulletin 3.7)
- Replies to own threads
- Sticky threads

Posts
- Created posts
- Views on attachments

User
- Days since registration
- Referrals
- Received infractions
- Reputation / Use of reputation system
- Visitor messages on profiles (vBulletin 3.7)
- Members of own social groups (vBulletin 3.7)
- Albumpictures (vBulletin 3.7)
- Friends (vBulletin 3.7)

Post Thank You / Use of Post Thank You

Calculation of the activity
The system calculates the activity by taking the average post count of the ten most active user and comparing it to own post count.

Awards
There are four default awards: Community, Posting, Activity and Helpful. The awards are shown in Rankings and Profile.

Rankings
Showing User, Level, Awards, Activity Points (experience, thread, post, user, misc) - sortable.

You can see all rankings by looking under quick links then click vBExperience

I don't know how the awards are given yet. I know after the install it was JH and I that were automatically given the awards. I know it's based on points but not sure how many points you have to have to get a certain award. Because looking HERE (http://www.localracechat.com/forums/xperience.php?page=1&sortfield=xp&sortorder=desc) Marcia has more points than I do but no awards yet I have 3.

This was something I saw and thought it would be interesting to check out, we'll see how it goes.

I think some of you staff are screwing with my numbers again. We all know how there was one corrupt staff member who took away some of my post and my rep points and it hasn't ever been right since trying to restore it. I sure hope this isn't happening again???????:greenhmm0lb:

Back on topic. I don't know how she got it either, I do know it runs a update every Xhrs and gives the awards based on the points received.

John your #'s are as they seem, when I upgraded the forums I ran maintenance scripts on everything but post counts. I don't like doing it on post counts because usually they drop and some people as yourself don't like to see them drop.
