SPECIAL APOLOGY FROM FRIENDSHIP & MORE....
Friendship Motor Speedway would like to apologize for the excess dirt flying during the special Super Late Model event this past Saturday May 24th. We realize that this is a problem and we are committed to correcting this issue even if it means hiring an outside source to come in and fix it. There will be construction going on this week and possibly next. We will be starting construction by raising up turns 1 & 2. All weekday practice at the speedway has been cancelled for the next two weeks. We will be racing this coming Saturday night May 31st with our regular show, however, the special Steel Head Late Model show on June 7th has been postponed. We will be running a regular show on June 7th in place of the Steel Head show. We are also working on our Sound System so that infomation can be heard better and clearer as this is a week by week process. Please continue to check back right here for the latest information...

In other news: Friendship Motor Speedway does have a couple openings for Track Officials in the pit area. If you are interested just give Phil Hall a call at
(336) 401-2051 or Email - Phil@FriendshipRacing.com (Phil@FriendhsipRacing.com)

There is a 2004 Rocket Chassis car for sale, less motor. Can be used for Super Late Model or a Crate Late Model. The current asking price is $9400.00 If you are interested just give Friendship Motor Speedways Booper Bare a call at (540) 460-2247.

In the GM Direct Automotive Crate Late Model division, we have decided to increase the total purse by $450.00 This will make and extra $100.00 to win and 10th through last will all get $25.00 more than originally posted so be sure to check out the "Weekly Purse" page. In addition to all this we will now be selling Goodyear Spec 45 racing tires at the track. Just see Phil Hall or Booper Bare in the pits.

We would also like to make a special welcome to the new Friendship Motor Speedway Scoring Director, Melissa Taylor. Melissa is also no stranger to racing as she has done scoring in the past at other tracks in North Carolina. It is a pleasure to have her on the FMS team!

Thanks to everyone for your contintued support as we work out these track issues over the coming weeks to make a more enjoyable place to come and spend your well earned Saturday Night. We appreciate each and every one of you...

Now I like that, there's an issue, they know it and will try and correct it, you can't ask for more than effort!

Yea it was dusty, but as a first timer, I enjoyed watching a great show. My only suggestion that I haven't seen anything said about is the height of the trailers in the infield. Maybe yall should think about limiting how tall trailers parked in the infield pits are, and park taller trailers up on the hill. The tall supers trailers made a few blind spots, even the flag man couldn't see cars over in 2.

All the races back in the day before it turned asphalt were always really dusty from what I can remember too, so the condition is nothing new. At least the track is putting forth an effort.

nice to hear of a track working with the fans and drivers to make it best for everyone involved. it also takes a big track operation to admit that some things needed changing and, i think phil and crew will have a great place for the fans and drivers when they are done. keep up the great work phil and don't let the nay sayers get ya down.

Can't complain at all about the dust. I thought it was an average amount of dust seen anywhere else. I have seen better and I have seen worser in a daytime race. I would say that the tracks owner cares about the fans issues and deserves credit. Wil lbe back soon.
