ATLANTIC CITY, NJ MAY 20, 2008 . . . It is time to start planning for the huge 2009 motorsports weekend in Atlantic City set for January 16 and 17th.
Motorsports 2009, the largest show of its type dedicated to motorsports of all sorts, is set for the plush Atlantic City Convention Center and will cover close to 300,000 square feet of floor space.
Informational packages were sent recently to last year’s exhibitors for the 24th edition of this midwinter motorsports extravaganza.
“Past exhibitors have the opportunity to book their same space for the 2009 show until May 31st, then we open the show to others who have interest in reaching this huge audience with a display,” said show promoter Len Sammons. “The 2008 show was a big success and we are expecting the 2009 show to be even a bigger success with its new format. We have been busy making plans that will make this one of the best shows ever.”
Those wanting to be part of the Motorsports 2009 Show are invited to contact Danny Sammons at 609.888.3618 to reserve show space. A full color brochure offering complete details on the show is available upon request. It is also available on the show web-site, aarn.com.
Show manager, Joe Pratt, has been sidelined with health issues but is expected to return to the office in the very near future.
In addition to the Motorsports 2009 Show, Sammons will also be again presenting the very successful and hugely popular indoor auto racing events in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.
The Gambler’s Classic, featuring Three Quarter Midgets and 600cc Micro Sprints in head to hear competition, Champ Karts and Slingshots, will take place on the nights of January 16th and 17th.
Added to the weekend of motorsports activities last year was the inaugural Promoter’s Summit which had more than 60 speedways and organizations registering to attend.
“We were very happy with the response to our first Summit,” said Summit organizer Ernie Saxton. “We have had great feedback and suggestions from those who attended and we have a new format planned for our second Promoter’s Summit.”
The Summit will again take place on both days of the Motorsports 2009 show and Saxton invites promoters and organization officials to contact him for information and to make reservations to attend. Saxton can be reached at Esaxton144@aol.com or 215.752.7797.
Additional details on Motorsports 2009, Gamblers Classic and Promoter’s Summit will be announced in the very near future. Check the www.aarn.com (http://www.aarn.com/) for discount room reservations and it’s suggested you make them early.
