With the new Carolina Clash Modified tour starting in 2006, will DMS have any open wheel cars to keep that class alive?

As I understand the CMT, the entire 2006 series will consist of 10 or 11 races. They are not companion events with the Clash SLM races. The two series almost exist independently. I know of one totally new OWM that will be at Dublin once it is completed. While Craig Shuffield is planning on running for the Clash "rookie of the year" in the SLM division, the 007 and 9 mods will reportedly remain at DMS. The Shuffields report that they will race at Dublin when their schedule allows. Also, Tim Clendinin, who only got on the track late last year, is planning on being a Dublin "regular". Hopefully, this class will hang in there and may experience some growth.

Gary Long, Shallotte, NC, #6 OWM, who ran at Fayetteville this past season, has announced, also, that he will be a "Dublin regular" for the 2006 season. No one can predict the future, but the class is looking okay at the moment.
