Bo Feathers picks up win #2

Bo Feathers was able to pick up win #2 on the "08" racing season at the Winchester (Va) Speedway before the rain showers rolled thru. Jared Powell had fine 2nd place run and Andy Anderson came home in the 3rd spot!!

After a wild and crazy night of racing last weekend, things returned to normal this weekend as a fast paced show saw racing concluded before 10 PM this evening.
On this night Bo Feathers would become the first repeat winner in the Late Model class, Sean Dawson would take his first of the year in the Semi-Late division, Bryan Kerns would open his account with a win in the Pure Stocks, and Roger Whitlock would return to an often familiar place for him in the past with his first 4-Cylinder feature win of the season.
Bo Feathers won the second night this season, and has been ultra consistent finishing but one time out of the top five, and that was on a non points night.
Coming just short of victory several times last years leading mid-atlantic region feature winner was looking for the opportunity to return to victory lane at Winchester. Driving the Preston Dietz D1 again this Saturday night, he would start from the pole position.
He would open up a huge lead from the get go, and despite Andy Anderson's efforts was always able to pull away at will, there was no heading Bo Feathers as he cruised to the win, meanwhile Andy Anderson's second place run was usurped when Jared Powell showed immense strength and shot to the inside of three late in the going and was able to pass Anderson for second spot.
Anderson would hold on for a third, with Wes Bonebrake and Denny Bonebrake rounding out the top five.
Heats for the 20 cars went to Tommy Armel and Gerald Davis.
