Any drivers from other tracks planning on racing weekly at Clarys in 2006? How about any rookie drivers?

I will probably race a few races next year as the work schedule allows. It is very demanding upkeeping a race car by yourself and working full time but hope to manage to get a few in.

I agree kraceman. I think cars in the support classes would not show if they were in point chases at other tracks. JMO

I personally don't think that running every two weeks is a good idea. Most drivers want to race every week although there are some who prefer ,or can only afford to, race less often (like every 2 weeks). It's also going to be bad for the fans who want to see a race there every week.
The only time I've seen this work was back in the days when South Boston and Orange County worked together on their schedules so they would each run every other week. In order to make this work, you need to have a fairly close, fairly similar type track running the same basic divisions that would work together to each run every other week. You could have individual track point standings and combined standings. The theory is that the people who want to race every week could do so at the alternating tracks and the ones who want to (or have to) race a little less often could race every two weeks at whichever of the tracks they choose.
The closest dirt track would be County Line, but their division rules are not close enough for that to work right now, and CLR is a basically flat race track. It might work however with Wayne County. The two are only about 60 miles apart and Wayne is high banked. They also run pretty similar rules in their classes. It might be something for Wayne County to consider (if Clary's does decide on running every other week) because they have to do something to turn that place around after the terrible car count and fan count at the end of last year.
Well, I guess its time to go back to the lunny bin! :smilie_hu

The only way racing twice a month will work for the suporting class's is if You make a points fund that would rival any other local tracks that race for points each week. Then the drivers would run clarys for points twice a month and then maybe go to another track to test and tune or steal some outside money the other 2 weeks. But the key is gonna have to be a points fund that would be hard for the drivers to race else were.

I agree. i think it would be much better to have a points fund for this year and also a set purse for the support divisons. i think you could get some more cars in the support divisions if you had a set winners purse. WHEN ARE THE RULES COMING OUT?
