I hate to promote another track in the Clary's forum, but with Clary's off, we've got to have somewhere to go, and show out support for the surrounding tracks.

If your a driver, OR fan thats making the trip to CLR, or would if they ran Supers, reply to the post in the CLR section. Hopefully if it gets enough support, they'll turn em loose. I see where JH was looking for a place to go with Supers, theres his answer, he can either go watch, or maybe someone will let him get behind the wheel of their car:Doh::smiley_595:

Well I guess that a def no, seeing as how we got locked out over there. I'm not bashing County Line, but I really, really, really don't understand whats going on. They said the majority of the driver's said no, well, maybe they should have called let the fans come to the meeting, hear what they have to say. I could see if they were thinking of opening it up for one weekend, not sure if any would show and deciding not to go ahead with it. But having atleast 4 committed to come, with a couple more to be determined. WOW. From what I understand its kinda a Steel/Aluminum issue, which I figured could be solved with weight, like the way Wayne County use to do it. But I know near to nothing about the rules or engines, so I can't really comment.

I would ask what were the concerns of the drivers for not allowing it, but again, they shut that door quick, so I guess we just get the "just cuz" answer.

I hope some of you guys make the trip up and run with the limited lates sometime this year, cuz that'll be the only time I get to see any of you run.

I wish County line the best, but I'll keep my money at home, watching the Supers & limiteds week in and week out.

Kinda understand CLR point if it is a point race, they need to look out for their regular weekly drivers. Clary's to a point would do the same I would hope. There are ways around all of that is fair to everyone, but not at this late notice. Maybe on one of the off weeks from Clary's they can try to run a super late model show down there. That would give them time to work out all the issues and plan, that would also give the teams enough time to make changes. I would be there that weekend for sure.

:stopcop:As far as my driving career, after the last time I think thats over!! :sad4:

how bout clr let the supers run in a class of there own and have 2 latemodel races? thats the only thing i can think of. I know that would bring in more fans. do sorta what clr is doing with mod 4's

Good Idea. We'll just have to wait and see.

Its not a late notice, if theres already 4 coming, with several more who'd show with a simple phone call. As for points, since the supers can't run all year let em run just for money, points don't mean anything to them for only one race. If a late wins, a super 2nd, and another late 3rd, the the guy in 3rd gets 2nd place points. Only give points to the Lates.

Man I thought I liked to beat dead horses. The man already has said some of his regular drivers didn't want it to change. In the interest of Jame's track he said OK then they are not gonna run em. I totally understand one night of 4 extra late models no matter how good of a show it would be is gonna make his track continue to be successful all season when it turns off his regular drivers. It could actually have a downhill snowball effect. There are a few things I dont like about county line, everyone knows I prefer Clary's that's no secret. But I have to tell ya as far as stability and rules, James has always has his act together and yes Iam disappointed cause I would have went out of my way to see JC and the others race there this Saturday. As of now my plans are up in the air. :greenhmm0lb:

John, you should come to CLR if you get the chance. I'm gonna try to make the rounds and see the folks Saturday night and would be glad to finally meet you and Marcia both in person.

And this horse is getting beat in multiple threads.

I typed up two responses to this issue and decided at the last second not to post them. But, thanks- you pretty much said exactly what I was going to say.

Jason I would love to, but not sure. I kinda promised someone I would only go to a few special races when Clary's was off. Not go to every single race I can LOL. Gotta do that quality time thing. :takebath:
