RWP Postpones May 3rd event

[RWP]

RWP postponed the May 3rd race due to the Nascar Busch and cup series in Richmond this weekend. The May 3rd event was to be sponsored by MJ Price Construction. RWP will honor all free vouchers for May 3rd race on May 10th.The band 3rd Cove will be performing after the race from 11:00pm to 1:30 am. Doorprizes, raffles, and Carolina Crossroads free vouchers will also be added to each event.

It has also been announced the SLMs will be running 30 laps races at the next event.

RWP hopes all fan, drivers, and employee's who purchased advanced ticket's to the Nascar Busch and Cup event in Richmond enjoy the race. RWP looks forward to seeing everyone back on the May 10th race sponsored by Carolina Crossroads.

The MJ Price Construction sponsored race will be announced at a later date.

Prob a good move...Yes we know dirt fans care nothing about Nascar...But alot of people go when its this close to home ......Hope to pull my old "leadsled" out of the bushes soon, make a few changes to pass tech and join in the fun a few times at Clary's

If they didnt cancel, they would have classified as stupid for trying to compete, but now that they have, they are going to classified as stupid for not putting a notice out sooner or I can see it now " why cancel when we dont give a darn about *******"... no win situation since the fire has already been fueled.
I just hope that Clarys has a great year.. I will be making my way up there real soon. I have read more good stuff about it then negative. So hopefully the other fans will see the same and make a trip up there. I think its great that its a track that is opened. Look around, a lot of dirt tracks are closed... so GOOD JOB CLARYS FOR OPENING AND GIVING THE LOCALS THAT WAY A PLACE TO RACE!!!

Real good business move, for the simple reason the race is live on Fox at 7:00
and a forecast of rain, not good on the front or the pit gate..............

Maybe everyone is remaining calm after the last round of controversy. :smile: I agree- It's great to see Clary's and all the other tracks open this year. The only "bad" thing is that it's hard for me to choose where to go on any given weekend!
