LINCOLNTON, NC - The Carolina Clash Super Late Models is set to invade Travelers Rest Speedway next Saturday Night April 26th.
The race will be the second of the season for the nine year old series with the winner of the 40 lap main event taking home $4,000. Last year Dennis 'Rambo' Franklin held off a determined Ricky Weeks to post the victory at the 3/8 mile oval.
"Travelers Rest is a cool track," said Carolina Clash President Larry Lee. "Last year we had a record crowd, a heck of a race and a fantastic time at TR and I am sure this year will be more of the same. Jody Palmer and his staff do a fantastic job of promoting the track which quickly made an impression on the drivers that attended last years event.
'Rambo' Franklin will lead the Carolina Clash contingent into town. He took home the opening round victory last Saturday night at Fayetteville Motor Speedway.
The pit gates will open at 3:00 PM with the grandstands opening at 4:00 PM. Drivers meeting will start at 6:30 with racing at 7:00 PM. For more information visit www.trspeedway.net or www.carolinaclash.com
