do you really think 311 will get more cars than Friendship - I would be willing to bet on that. I know 311 is paying more but the newness of Friendship will attract a ton of people.

Go to 311 then!!! And i'll bet you they won't all be there if any of them watched the wreckfest they had last saturday! And i think it's a load of crap that 311 has to go and pull something so dirty after Phill said he was gonna work with 311 and not run any big races when 311 does and then they pull something like this! Friendship is twice the track that 311 ever could be!!! I wonder if 311 is pulling this because there scared!!!

Well it sure looked like to me that not everyone was at 311. Had a great turn out at Friendship. I counted somewhere around 20 crates. Heard from friends at 311 they had 23 crates and not many people in the stands. Great attendance at Friendship. Largest crowd in years. Both tracks running same format next week. Should be interesting year. I just have to say job well done to Phil and the crew up at Friendship. Had a few minor problems with turn 1 and mother nature but otherwise great job. Don't live too far from 311 and REALLY enjoyed riding right past that place to get to Friendship. Hope to be back many more times.

Glad to hear that both tracks had about an equal amount of cars.

Too bad Mother Nature won at both.

I was at 311 and considering the weather I drove through to get there I was impressed with the numbers in the stands. Biggest crowd? Nope, but respectable for the storm warnings going over the radio every 15 minutes.

On to next week.

Yep, it was nice to look up and see all those fans in the stands and all along the hilltop parking. Friendship had some great fans when it was dirt before and hopefully it'll be like that once more. All the staff I met were great as well and most took a moment to stop and talk a moment. Even though it rained it out, I had a great time and saw a lot of old racing friends again. Like a friend of mine said before, it was great to be back "home!"

I knew there were a lot of folks in the stands, but when we left out of the pits and there were cars parked up and down the sides of 268 I thought, it's back man!!!

no dan is relief driving for daniel baggerly in the #16 b-n-b motorsports car until he gets his motor fixed and or daniel gets better. daniel had an accident and cut the muscle in his upper right arm. doctors are saying roughly 4 weeks before he should get back in a racecar. one thing about it he picked a real good replacement. works out well for both of them.

This should explain the deal-taken straight from the B-N-B press release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

April 24, 2008

Larry Blankenship and Dan Breuer to Field Cars this Weekend for B&B Motorsports!

(WYTHEVILLE, VIRGINIA) Following a rare weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition on April 18-19, the B&B Motorsports team will be back out in full-force this upcoming weekend! Larry Blankenship will bring his #32 Barry Wright machine to the Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina on Friday night, April 25. A $1,500 to win Super Late Model show is planned for tomorrow evening at the facility formerly known as the Thunder Valley Raceway. For additional information on this race, please visit www.clevelandcountyspeedway.com.

On Saturday, April 26, Larry will take the night off from racing action and will instead travel to the Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina to assist on the #16 B&B Motorsports entry. With Daniel Baggerly still recovering from a freak incident to his right arm last week, he has asked veteran driver Dan Breuer to fill in during his absence. Dan will pilot a Crate Late Model for the Wytheville, Virginia based race team on Saturday at Friendship, as a $2,000 top prize is up for grabs. You can view more information on this event online at www.friendshipmotorspeedway.net.

“Dan (Breuer) has an injured motor right now and my arm is injured, so it was an easy decision for me to make,” quoted Daniel Baggerly this week. “Dan has been such a big help to me getting started in racing, so this is just one way I can repay him while he gets his motor repaired. Without Dan and Larry (Blankenship) acting as mentors, I do not think I would have ever climbed into a Super Late Model.”

April 26 | OFF
