The pits were full of Late Models for the evening, including an appearance by two of the World of Outlaw touring series drivers participating on a night off, Josh “Kid Rocket” Richards of Shinniston, WV driving the Ernie Davis prepared #25 and Clint Smith of Senoia, GA in his own #44 were in the pits and certainly heavily favored.


J.T. Spence of Winchester found himself starting on the outside pole of the main event, JT is the defending champion of the Hagerstown Speedway and has had several great finishes at that track this season, making his first show at Winchester he gunned to the lead of the main event taking the early lead from pole sitter Mike Hardy.


Josh Richards would give chase as Mike Hardy followed. Hardy would have his hands full with Bo Feathers and a fast Tommy Armel. Meanwhile JT Spence consolidated his lead and began to pull away from the rest of the competitors.


Laps went by and while the racing was tight behind Spence pulled away. In lieu of a caution that never seemed to come, Richards would have to rely on Spence having trouble in traffic.


Behind Richards, last weeks winner Bo Feathers was also trying to reel in the leaders. But Spence cut through the lapped traffic and at the conclusion of the main event, J.T. Spence was $2,500 richer as he collected the win, an event that saw no cautions was run off in 9 minutes, 13 seconds.


Josh Richards held onto second with Feathers in third. Tommy Armel and Clint Smith would round out the top five.


Heats for the 28 cars went to Clint Smith, Jared Powell, and Gerald Davis. Jim Bernheisel won the consolation race.
