Frustrated with FMS [Archive]

After the race Saturday night, we completely stripped the car down. This entire week we worked every night to rebuild, prime and paint 2/3 of the car. I was at Signmaster getting the decals cut out when I found out that FMS canceled the race for Saturday because of cold weather. The forecast all week has called for cold weather. Why wait till Friday to cancel? It would have saved us a lot of work and many nights without sleep. But I WILL BE READY whenever they reschedule!

Its a shame. They knew all week it was gonna be cold. Just hope they don't reschedule for next Saturday. The big annual Thanksgiving race at Sumter might hurt FMS car count if they do.

I have been to sumter lol the race is heavly attendend because it is the only show around. i would think if fms ran next weekend they might not have enough room to park all the cars. they need to annouce soon what they are gonna do.

It depends on the schedule. If FMS does it at night I'll go to Sumter. If they are both during the day I'll have to flip a coin!

"Excessive Cold" - What, were they expecting sunny and low 90s? :surf:

The forcast high for Fayetteville is 58 and overnight low 39, not exactly "excessive" to me - the average high for the date is 64 and average low is 40. For "excessive cold" try the Jan 1 races in PA, NY, and OH!

The last forcast I saw this morning for that area was 27 for a low Saturday night. However I wasn't going to be able to go anyways.
