I'm just lookin for some general information about Hammer Down. We are headed down to Rockingham in May for the ARCA show and plan to hit a few dirt tracks down there on Friday and Saturday night. Our options Friday are Dublin and Cleveland County. For Saturday night it's either Hammer Down or Fayetteville. How many Late Models down Hammer Down usually get and what time does the racing start? How are the car counts in the rest of their classes? Thanks for any info.

The ARCA show is Sunday May 4th. We are big time Super Late Model fans but just want to see a good show with some passing. This would also be the Skyler Trull Memorial weekend up at Cleveland County so I'm not sure if that would pull some cars away or not. Thanks for the info guys.

Thanks for the info. As of now, we will probably plan to hit Hammer Down. If Fayetteville was runnin Supers on that night we would probably go there. Hammer Down is pretty close to Rockingham so that would make an easy night on us as well. How is the racing at Hammer Down? We are from Ohio, that's why I don't know much about these tracks. Thanks

I think I've decided to do Dublin and Hammer Down. I've heard a lot of good things from Dublin. Our other option for Friday night is Carolina Clash at Cleveland County for $5,000 (Skyler Trull Mem night #1) but I havn't heard anything real good about the racing at Cleveland County. Just heard it's a big half mile with minimal passing. I'm lookin forward to Dublin and Hammer Down. I enjoy hitting new race tracks. Thanks

well if you are coming down on the may 2-4 i would go to Dublin on fri and hammerdown or FMS sat..but then again if you are big SLM fans i would go to clevland Co speedway fri and sat night..Carolina Clash fri night paying $5,000 to win and $10,000 to win Skyler Trull memorial sat night and if a driver can win both races he gets an extra $5,000. there will be 40-50 SLM at this race i think... and i would deff be there if i was coming this way for the weekend.

Believe me, I looked into the Skyler Trull Memorial but I think I'd like to be able to check out Rockingham on Friday and Saturday as well and then head to the dirt on those nights. I can't pull that off if I'm stuck at Cleveland County both nights. Also, their car count has been low for that show the past few years (although one local from our area, Doug Horton, usually goes down). As of now, I'd say Dublin is a lock. It looks to me like a nice track and I've been hearing good things. That just leaves me with my Saturday night decision between Hammer Down and FMS. A friend of mine that is coming with me drives 410 Sprints so he wants to see some type of open wheel cars during the weekend and was interested in the Hammer Down Mini-Sprints. I'm a Late Model fan so in this case, we will both be happy. I guess it will be a last minute decision but Hammer Down looks like a racy little track. We are used to small bullrings up here in Ohio so it looks like our kind of track. Thanks too everyone for the information. Keep me informed on the car counts and racing at Hammer Down and FMS.
