Last week Bo Feathers, of Winchester, ran second after a hard fought battle with Johnathan DeHaven, this week Bo would start the Gasoline Alley Late Model division feature from the third starting spot.

Tommy Armel was the polesitter though and took the lead from the green.

But on lap three Bo Feathers, who had passed second starter Jared Powell earlier, took the lead from Tommy Armel shortly before the third and final caution came out for Jared Powell.

Once the green came back out it was the Bo Feathers show, he would take a huge lead over Armel and the rest of the field, the story though was a resurgent Denny Bonebrake, who was so strong in the opener, came from seventh to move into the second spot late in the event.

Feathers though would claim his first win of the season driving his Bo Feathers Racing #00 Warrior Chassis/Ford Fusion. Following Bonebrake in the third spot was Tommy Armel, Kris Eaton, and a strong running Matt Hardy rounded out the top five.

Heat events were taken by Moe Harden and Bo Feathers.

One of the best events in a night full of great racing, was the Eagle Auto Parts Semi-Late feature.

Mark Jones, the 2007 Hagerstown Speedway Pure Stock champion moved into the Semi-Late division this year and in his first show of the season was the man who would lead the first pair of laps before yielding the lead to Scott Sweeney, also looking for his first Semi-Late checkered.

Having to come from twelth Allen Brannon who won the opener found himself working through the competition trying to chase down the leaders.

Brian Buckler of Slanesville, WV also found himself on the move, getting up to second by the second half of the event.

It still looked as if Sweeney would get career number one, but on lap 11 Jimmy Richards and Jon Painter would get together on the backstretch bringing out the second and final caution of the event.

On the restart Buckler would begin working on Sweeney with Allen Brannon working on Kris Holliday and Mark Jones in the top five.

As the cars came around to get the white flag, Buckler shot to the inside of Sweeney as Sweeney went high and at the line Buckler would have the advantage,he would draw away in the final lap and collect his first win of the young season, following Sweeney in third was Allen Brannon up from twelth, Kris Holliday and Mark Jones rounded out the top five.
Heats went to Bryan Wright and Allen Brannon.

Team 95 Racing Update 4/5

On the second lap of his heat race, the rack broke coming around turn 3/4, causing the car to slam into the wall in turn 4. Mitch is fine though he received a slight concussion. Due to damaged sustained, Mitch will not be racing for the next couple of weeks.

"Bo knows Winchester." He's very tough to beat up there.

Bo knows other tracks too ...but not like Winchester!

That's why our win was so special. Bo finished second that night. He said he gave it everything he had but he just couldn't get past that 13D. Makes you feel like you're doing your homework when you can hold off one of the best on the east coast ... :Toothless:
