Jonathon Dehaven wins first race of the season!

Next up the Gasoline Alley Auto and Truck Sales Late Models took to the track, Johnathan DeHaven and Brian Tavener would start from the front row. DeHaven would take the lead at the green in his white and orange #13D Ford. The second caution would come out after one lap was complete when Omps would get squirrely and Gerald Davis, Mike Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Greg Elrod would be caught up in the mess that would ensue. The 25 lap feature would see the caution fall some 8 times by race end. The race saw Bo Feathers and Denny Bonebrake begin to assert their strength as the race continued, DeHaven holding his line and the lead as the laps wound down. Bonebrake began a hard charge and on lap 21 he would take the lead coming out of the fourth turn, he would not lead another lap as in turn two contact between DeHaven and Bonebrake saw Bonebrake spin and DeHaven once again back in the lead. This left Feathers the last challenger as the green flag flew with four to go, Feathers would use several high side charges in the waning laps before having to settle for the second spot as Johnathan DeHaven would collect the win; Kris Eaton made a strong run in his debut with Shutts racing to take third, Davis and Tavener would round out the top five. Heats for the Late Model class went to Gerald Davis and Bo Feathers.
