Looks like once again DJ Tyndall had bad luck. I wasn't there, anyone got a good idea what happened? I think it's a shame for such a good driver to keep getting on the bad end of everybody else's mistakes. I talked to a team member tonight and they said the car is REALLY bad.

Porkey Edwards totaled DJ"S CAR AND WRECKED FOUR MORE AT THE SAME TIME!!
i GUESS HIS THINKING IS IF YOU CANT BEAT THEM ..TAKE THEM OUT! No..no EXCUSE FOR WHAT HE DID TONIGHT.

I talked to the team today. The car needs a front clip. I don't know if they will be back this week.

i don't know if the 48 did it on purpose or not but maybe the track officials need to warn the drivers this week if the officials deem that driver's are tearing up other peoples machines on purpose those drivers will be parked for the night

i might be wrong but from the looks of the pics it was done intentionally meaning purposely maybe the 4 needs to repay the favor to the 48

From what I understand this happened on a re-start and the 48 jumped the start. D.J. won't 'return the favor' because he doesn't race that way. I'm sure he will get his stuff back together eventually and will try again.

It's probably best not to draw any conclusions from the pictures. It's hard to say exactly what was going on when contact was made based on the photo alone.

I've seen DJ race since his super street days, he's not the one to tear up others equipment, payback or not. He's always been a clean driver.

i believe that he is a clean driver but what i am saying if he was the only one that was getting tore up he would have to do something or the track would lose a driver and if i was him i would be going to another track

I was watching this from up in the tower. TECHNICALLY, Porky didn't jump because track rules state that when the leader "fires," you're allowed to pass on the outside, which is what he did. Then they got together on the frontstretch, and I'll admit I couldn't see what happened in that dark spot under the flagstand. Not even the angle from the track videographer's perspective wasn't definitive as to "intent." I'm certainly not claiming to have any insight on that.

Does Porky have a history of, ohhhhh, getting tangled up with folks? No doubt about it. Was it smart to be that aggressive on a restart? In hindsight considering the outcome, not at all. Was it intentional? Only Porky knows for sure.

I'm 100% certain of this, though: Were I a driver, I wouldn't give a fella Danny Tyndall's size a reason to be mad at me, and D.J.'s whatcha call a "right healthy young'un" in his own right. Bottom line, no matter who's at fault, I hate to see anybody's stuff get torn up like that. Local racing is expensive enough as it is without having to re-clip a car.

However long it takes 'em to get the car ready to go again, it's a virtual certainty Danny and D.J. will be back just as strong, if not moreso. They're too good at this stuff not to be right back on their game the next time we see 'em.

And as totally awesome as Rhett's photos are and with all due respect to photographers, still shots of a crash that occurs at over a hundred miles an hour shed zero light on whether something was blatant or intentional. A frame captures -a- moment in time, nothing more, at 1/125th of a second or whatever shutter speed Rhett's able to use with portable studio he was lugging around on his shoulders the other night.

>>> DJ has an awesome looking ride <<<
For sure! Each year's car is better than the one before it! The guys in the Cape Fear region have some of the best-lookin' race cars I've ever seen. The wrap on Denton Little's car is a hot one; David Taylor's; the three Blackwell cars, and on and on.
