This is somewhat old news but I figured I'd post it here to bring those who might not have seen it posted otherwise. In 2008 the RTM series has forged several contingency sponsorships with several companies involved in the racing series, below is a list of a few of the programs which were announced within the last week:
- TCI Automotive:
TCI Automotive will return as a contingency sponsor of the Rolling Thunder Modifieds presented by Red Man for the 2008 season. This year, TCI will be offering $100, $75, and $50 off jobber pricing gift certificates at each race, however instead of awarding these to the top three finishers, the recipients of the certificates will be chosen at random prior to each race. This in hopes of spreading out some sponsor benefits across the entire field. In addition, TCI will again provide a $500 and $300 off jobber pricing certificates at the end of the year for the eventual series champion and runner up.
RTM is deeply grateful to TCI Automotive for their generous contributions to the series. TCI was one of the first companies to partner itself with the tour upon last year's ownership change and has been very loyal to the tour and has helped with the success the tour now sees.
- Stock Car Products:
RTM announced that Stock Car Products will sponsor a special contingency for two events on the Rolling thunder 2008 tour. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Stock Car Products in 2008”, Jerry Sink noted. “Stock Car Products is a loyal supporter of the tour, and we are humbled that they would offer these additional benefits on top of their regular sponsorship.”
Stock Car Products will be offering the following additional contingencies:
For the RTM event at Langley Speedway on May 31st, the following awards will be past out:
$200.00 cash for 1st place
$150.00 cash for 10th place

$200.00 cash for 1st place
$150.00 cash for 2nd place
