We went this weekemd with a friend to watch him race and he had to pay a $30 entry fee to race his ss4 and recieved an impressive $25 at the end of the night. We were thinking of taking the new late model to shake it down on the 29th but I was told that the winner only got $275 and the pay down the field falls to $50 pretty quick, I was under the impression that the late model class had a sponsor that guaranteed $1000 to win but if you look at the website now it says you have to have like 20 cars to get that guaranteed $1000. I thought the track looked like it would be fun, small but fun, entirely to small for 20 laet models 10 would be really pushing it. I'm not trying to start anything here or degrade your track but you can't expect to have a late model field when you pay $275 and really can't expect people to bring their ss4 cars and have to pay a $30 entry fee, I've never gone to a track that the entry fee was more than what you won if you started the race JMO. good luck with your season Larry Dunn

Too short???? Not for REAL racers. There are several tracks in IL, IN, MO, and TN that are 1/4 mile and 1/5 mile tracks that start 20 cars every week. And the racing is fantistic. No train races like you see on the 4/10 and 1/2 mile tracks around here! It's nothing to see 2-4 lead swaps on a single lap on the short tracks. Haubstadt, Mt Vernon, Clarksville; all GOOD tracks for a tight race.
