NASCAR TECHNICAL INSTITUTE STUDENTS RECEIVE ADDITIONAL TRAINING WITH CAROLINA CLASH DURING 2008 SEASON

MOORESVILLE, N.C.(February 20, 2008) -- The NASCAR Technical Institute (NASCAR Tech) and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series are pleased to offer race day, at the track experiences for students during the upcoming 2008 racing season.
NASCAR Tech, a subsidiary of Universal Technical Institute, Inc., a national leading provider of technical education training, will supply qualified students to work as team members for select Carolina Clash Late Model Race Teams during a series of Carolina Clash races. This will begin with the season opener at Carolina Speedway on Saturday, March 8. The Carolina Clash will also utilize NASCAR Tech students to work alongside Clash Race Day Officials.
The Carolina Clash is one of the premier traveling Super Late Model Series that hosts events throughout the Carolinas, Virginia and Georgia. “I look forward to providing our race teams with extra help while working alongside NASCAR Tech students as race day officials. This is a win-win situation,” said Clash Series Director Clint Elkins.
NASCAR Tech will give a Top Crew Chief contingency award at the races they attend, as well as a Crew Chief of the Year award that will be presented at the end of the year banquet.
“We are thrilled to offer such a great, real-world learning opportunity for our students,” said Trent Brown, Business Development Manager at NASCAR Tech. “This will be an invaluable experience for the students interested in pursuing careers in the motorsports and automotive industry after they graduate.”
