http://www.racedaywireless.com/products.htm here'ss a site that has them for $89.95 i think you have to order earbuds too or they have a package you can get that comes w/ earbuds and the raceiver, if you run radios already you'll have to get a splitter so you can hear your spotter and the track/raceiver...

I know everyone has a scanner laying around the house. Just duct tape that to the roll cage and you're all set.:secret:

Here's a thought or two.
Yes I have a raceceiver (supposedly) in the car. #1 thought, key word supposedly.
What if it's not working correctly (supposedly). #2 thought.
What if I forgot to turn it on.
Maybe I don't like the call and claim one of the above thoughts.
Maybe after a couple laps under caution we still got to stop cars and line them up.
Bottom line is this. The same ones that hold up the show will always hold up the show one way or the other. Only this way you get to spend an extra $100 to $200 to accomplish what the ole BLACK FLAG would for FREE !!
Oh yeah, anybody have an old radio not working they'd like to give away for looks ?

up Here, Charlie Calls Out Your Number Twice.
Car ??? Did You Hear Me....... Wait About 10 Seconds, Car ???? Did You Hear Me.............. No Response, Then The Flag Man Goes On The Track And You Are Done For The Night. thats The First Time, Number 1, next Time It Happens You Are down For Two Weeks, Regardless. It Is Your Responsibility To Make Sure It Works, Not The Tracks. Guess What, It Only Takes One Dummy For Charlie To Make An Example Of And The Rest Fall In Line..............real Simple

i think personally the raceivers are a great idea...i know i will probably not agree with all the calls but i have to obey them in order to race and be scored and pick up my check at the end of the night...i'm also sure FMS will give explanations for all the calls they make over the raceivers to the drivers...i really do think it will speed up the process...
if you forget to turn it on/or don't have it in the car and don't hear the call you'll probaby get the black flag... so i doubt very seriously that those excuses would work...plus we can go green quicker instead of making 1 or 2 laps so every can figured it out and catch up...
botttom line...
RACEIVERS ARE A GREAT IDEA FMS AND WILL SPEED UP THE PROGRAM!!

I like Bills sequence as well. Get in line and race :Kool:
I think it really would speed things up. I like Bills idea that is the way that it should be.

This all sounds good but my question is this.
Wouldn't the BLACK FLAG have the same effect if used correctly without a raceceiver? Just asking.

Used properly, shouldn't the raceivers greatly reduce the time to get everyone lined back up during a caution?
From a fans perspective, it's frustrating to watch big-field events spend 15 minutes just getting the cars back in the correct running order. It doesn't seem to be a problem with cars refusing to get in line, it seems the problem is communicating the correct spot to the drivers. In this instance, a more decisive use of the Black Flag would have no real effect - it isn't a black flag situation.
As an entertainment venue, race programs are desgined for the fans. The competition for entertainment dollars is very tight - fans have choices. The number 1 complaint of FMS fans is the program length. Anything that shortens the evening is a step in the right direction (in my opinion, of course).

In my opinion car lineups are not the main issue at FMS for time.
Yes there are a few minutes per race lost in this area but it usually relates back to a driver just not agreeing with what he's being told, therefore riding side by side with the other car in question until somebody stops him and threatens him with pulling his card (black flag)
Fms loses hours each week on account of watering the track 5 minutes before practice and 5 minutes before the first feature.

I wish I had a dime for everytime I seen Eddy Pollard climb down out of that flag stand during a caution, just to direct a driver where to fall inline at the correct position. I would be rich! That's what makes these races run into the early hours of the morning. No wonder a normal caution takes 3+ laps before the green drops. The hours lost at FMS are NOT because of the water truck, they are lost because of taking 4 and 7 laps to make a driver realize where to fall in.
But I still respect your opinion on this.

Yes L8 you're right about Eddie having to do the job for someone on the ground that's not qualified to handle it.
At the same time, if it takes Eddie in their face to make'em line up right, then that's the time to use the BLACK FLAG .

When utilizing the raceceivers, the flag man comes out of the stand for 1 thing and that is to black flag the car that does not line up where he is told. It will not happen to many times before they catch on. If a explanation is required why that car is in that position come to the pit shack after that race.
YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE RULES IN THE WORLD, ONE PAGE OR TEN PAGES, BUT THEY ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE ENFORCER. YOU LET ONE DRIVER SLIDE AND YOU JUST AS WELL LET THE REST SLIDE FOR WHAT EVER REASON.
