it would be nice if clarys would let us know what order and the times for the race of the 11 and 12. we need to start early to get done before it get to late. the question is what time should we start ????? to keep thing rolling along.

i think the drivers meeting is set to start at 4pm on the 12th. the gates open for practice at 6pm on the 11th.

They need to cut the intermission and driver interviews out! You have to consider, Novemeber 12 at night is gonna be chilly if not cold. Do the prayer and national anthem as soon as all hot laps are finished and have the first heat roll on the track as soon as the national anthem is over.
As soon as the last car in one race pulls off the track, the first row of cars in the next race should be in turn 4 already being given the next time around green signal.

I wish they would start it earlier in the day than they have it planned myself.

this is the weekend that they do the points awards and to my understanding they will be doing that in the intermission time. I don't think they should cut out the interviews because it gives the drivers the chance to thanks there sponsers and their pit crew.

Guys like me are coming some four to five hours away. To get there at two in the afternoon. So i would have to leave no later than nine in them morning. WHy not just allow one lap for qualifying? Its 40 some cars. two laps if run efficently should not take to long. Give an hour and a half to be safe. If the hot laps are prompt followed by heat races or whatever as long as everyone is ready to go I see no problem. All support classes are 15 laps. If you have an excessive amount of cautions just start counting laps. If there is going to be a change it needs to be done now. With a big race people plan ahead and need to know how to schedule their time.

each class needs more than five laps of hot laps anyway. how are you suppose to feel the car out in 5minutes if there are cars spinning? should be 10 laps hot laps and no time limit. also during a caution instead of letting the cars keep rolling around the track make them stop on the backstrech and then when the track is clear get the corner man to line them up and when they go down the front strech give them the one lap till green signal. that i think would help.

I do not want to pay 30 bucks a head to see a dry one groove race and thats what you will get if any cars hot lap or race before the sun goes down. No matter how cool it is at 400 and 500 pm much less 200pm if the sun is out then track conditions will suck. i'd rather sit threw the cold and see a great track surface than to be comfortable for few hours starting early and see a race tht sucks jmo

Hagerstown Speedway during Octoberfest they do all driver interviews after the whole show is over, not after each race and it works great. I'd rather be watching the race and not hear the drivers talk and waste time.
Clarys should also have a place where they take the winners photos in the pits and not on the track.

Jh I understand and agree with you completely. Unfortunately I think the track is gonna end up dry regardless of what time we start with the amount of cars that will surely show up.
Maybe if we could get started early enough to get hot laps, heat races and qualifying out of the way before dark then see what the track conditions are. Then if watering and rolling in is needed we could have enough time to do that right at dark. I just know it was way too late last time and more than likely its gonna be much colder, but hopefully not. I know it will all work out regardless, it is the last race so let's all make the best of it. It should be a great show.

well thats why we start early, so that if the track needs to be watered then they can do that plus grade it if it needs it then roll it in.

Dan and Howell I agree somewhat. but if time is the issue that everyone is concerned with then stopping and regrading and watering and rolling in the track is gonna take up or even more time than you gained in starting early. I differantly agree last race was way to late to finsh. I just think that things could be tighten up and smoothed out and still finsh at a reasonable time. Plus when talking about slm unless the track is total junk I dont think its fair to rework the track, you take all te strageryty of picking what tire compound and how to set your car up either for a tacky or hard slick track, makes it all guess work then and maybe the best over all racer doesnt win.

racing take all people top do there job. driver should know where they are to be on the track and who they are behind at all times.as a driver i know where im to be if a caution come out most of the time but it take a lots of laps to get some driver in line and then they pull out again-that bad-as far as a line up we got no room to line up the next class on the grid. i said move the grid back to turn 3-4 out of the way. keep the pit traffic going one-way at all times. let go racing

if j.c start early then you could have time to water and repair the track as needed or run the slm last so the track have a chance to stay together longer. any way jc do it it will be a long day-night and that ok.
