This will be a long thread but if you read it all you will probably learn some cool features of this Awesome Website. I will do several of them explaining different features of the site. Each one will be dated so you can read past the content you have already seen. I will send out a Pm when the thread has been updated or you can just subscribe to it. If this helps just one member I will be happy. No Posting here.

1. (Start Your Own Thread) Go into the Forum you would like to start a topic in. Look the left at the top or bottom of the page. There is a New Topic or New Thread Button. Click that and fill in the Subject and message content.


2. (Reply To A Post) After you have read the thread look to the top or bottom left side for a Post reply Button. Click that and fill in the Subject and message content.


3. (Quote A Message) If you want to reply to another persons post. Find that post and click the Quote button to the right of their post. Enter your reply under theirs and Click the Submit Post button.


4. (Report A Bad Post) If you read a post that you think might be offensive or out of context click the REPORT button to the left of the post. An email will be dispatched to the Moderators/Administrators to review. (Please don’t abuse)


5. (Give A user Rep) Below every users name on every post there is a button. Could be a picture of a scale or a button that reads REP. Click this to approve or disapprove their post. This will make their green bars either increase or decrease. It’s called User Reputation.


6. (Subscribed Threads) Do you know how to receive emails when someone replies to a thread you started or posted in?
(If you post a new thread.) After you fill in the Subject and the message content look to the bottom under Additional Options. There is a drop down menu under (Thread Subscription) Select the method you want and Click (Submit New Thread) at the bottom of the page. You can do the same thing after you reply to a thread.
(If you don’t want to post and just receive updates on the thread do this.) Right above the first post in the thread there is a link that reads (THREAD TOOLS) Click that link and click (Subscribe to This Thread) Select your Notification Type and click Add Subscription.

7. (Rate Threads) Right above the first post on every thread is a (Rate Thread) Link. Click that and select your rating. Threads that are ranked higher stay to the top longer.

8. (Double Links Bar) this bar is at the top of the forums. It follows you everywhere on the site. It has many useful links I will run over a few very useful ones.
(NEW POSTS) Want to know what has been posted since your last visited the site? Click the New posts link and it will return the results.
(TODAY”S POSTS) Does just that Gives you all posts that have been made in 24’hrs.
(MY TOPICS) Will give you all the threads that you have started.
(MY REPLIES) Will show all the posts you have made.
(MARK FORUMS READ) After you have read it all click this link. The New posts link will return better results if you have done this.
(FORUMS) takes you to the Forums Home Page.
(HOME) takes you to the Site Home Page.
(LINK DIRECTORY) takes you too our links of many tracks and other links.
(SEARCH) Search the entire site. If you click the advance search you can search just one forum, user, etc.
(WHO’S ONLINE) just that shows you who is here.
(OPEN BUDDY LIST) Gives you quick access to members you have added to your buddy list. (See User CP next paragraph).
(MY PROFILE) takes you to your public profile.
(LOG OUT) this link will immediately log you out of the site. If you do not the site will keep you logged in for about 30mins after you leave.
(CHAT ROOM) This is our very own live chat room if you are logged into the forums you can click this link and enter the chat room. You can use it as you wish. Get a group together and chat away.
(USER CP) takes you to your User Control Panel, explained in the next paragraph.


9. (USER CP) Also known as the user Control Panel. This is your control center. There are many features here but I am only going to explain a few. All the links I will be talking about are located on the left side of your User CP. If you have any questions about other options POST THEM HERE (http://www.localracechat.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7916#post7916).
(Send New Message) You can send any member of the forums a PM. You must know the correct user name or the member.
(List Subscriptions) Remember the thread Subscriptions above? Clicking this link will give you a list of the ones you have. You can also remove your Subscriptions from here.
(Paid Subscriptions) this will list any Paid Subscriptions you have with Local Race Chat. Currently there is only one. “Site Supporters” Being a LRC Supporter gives you the title Site Supporter. You will also have access to the Private, LRC Supporter Forums only seen by you.
(Buddy / Ignore Lists) Here you can set up your buddy list. Adding users here gives you Quick access to them when you click the (Open Buddy Lists Link in the Double Links bar at top of the forums. You can also add people to your ignore list, so you won’t receive pm’s from them. You can also see when they are online.
(Who viewed my Profile?) This will give you a list of the last 20 people who viewed your profile. You can see the total number of views by looking under Forum Info in your Public Profile.
