I like most, will have to say I was surprised.............. I only got to run one practice session in the Red 33 before getting kicked out.......lol The sterring rack broke on the 98 before the green even dropped in the frist warm up.........Which was the car I was gonna attempt to wheel.
Maybe some day I will get to take more than 10 laps in a dirt car......I think if I could just get some more laps I might get the hang of it......... Well enough about that.........
The track preperation was good........I know there was only 3 late models and a handful of v8 cars and the weather was cold, but there was ZERO dust, and ZERO ruts.
The track can handle 2 wide racing............3 wide racing with a late model, I dont see it happening. It reminded me alot of, if you can belive this A SMALLER WAKE COUNTY SPEEDWAY, only wider.........
I think that the track did a good job of keeping the show moving, 3 10 lap practice sessions is to many (I think)......... There was no announcer, I think the flagman doubled as the annoncer............ (Wow that brings back some memories.....) I think in time, if they decide to keep running latemodels, superstreet, etc......it will get better.
The event was run like a GO-Kart event, which is not FAN FRIENDLY at all........ But I see this improving in time........
The concession stand deal was a joke.........you had to try and run a man down a half mile away to buy some tickets, so you can get food..... You almost had to have a MASTERS DEGREE IN MATHMATICS to figure out how much a hot dog and a drink was gonna be..... All I know it was $16.00 for 1 hot dog 1 hamburger 2 bags of chips and 3 can drinks.........I think I may have got "HOSED" on that deal but hey, my degree is from ECU and it is in SECONDARY EDUCATION SOCIAL STUDIES not mathmatics.
All in All................ It was a fun track to race, and the track did a good job for the most part in keeping the show moving....... I think wilth a little more time in the "RACE CAR", business and not the "Go-Kart/SPRINT Business" (not that there is anything wrong with Go Karts or Sprint ) it will all come together...........
WE WILL BE BACK.:check_flag2::check_flag2::check_flag2:
