2008 Season

Im really looking forward the '08 season at VMS. Here is some of the events that will be at VMS:

World of Outlaws Late Models (friday in April)
MACS series

Paul Sawyer Memorial (thursday night on the week at RIR), Big Block Mods and Super Late Models

WoO Sprints
USA 100 that will be Co-sanctioned by MACS and Carolina Clash.

no problem rb. I have that date on my schedule as well. the only surprise to me was them not having the Lucas Oil Series. But o well.

Don't count on lucas oil being there this year. Low car count, and a lot of drivers don't like the lucas tire rule. Saw the following posts at another board by people with the track:

"Tire rule for one reason; Several regional drivers who run with us who weren't there said tire rule was why they didn't attend.
Also each time they've been to VMS it was the lowest Car count of any series that came to the track"

"As far as 2008 goes it just came down to timing, the track was weighing it's options talking with the series about the tire rule and the Lucas series needed an answer to get their schedule out"

"Our apologies to the fans that were expecting the Lucas Series to visit VMS in 2008, we will work feverously to have them back in 2009"

well they had over 35 last year. But with the MACS and Carolina Clash, it will be more than that im sure. Looking forward to this event.

Anyone seen the new bleachers? Executive style, wide seats. But, I wouldn't want to be to high, it looks like your view of turn one would be blocked by the press booth.

yea seen them...they did a good job. But my seat is all the way at the other end at the very top. Ready for the first big race in 08

Wait, hold on, WHAT? Argh, I'm almost committed to heading to Kentucky for the North/South that weekend, but now there's talk that the USA 100 will be a topless race? And only 1 hour from home, as opposed to 10.

when the schedule came out from the Carolina Clash and the macs they have decided to go Topless for the USA 100....heard it on dirt Nation last week!!!!:evilB:
