Yeah, that was probably me, I see your from Raliegh too, and I remember hearing you tell somebody that you came from Raliegh to take pictures at that race. Where are your pics posted at??

Thanks for all the comments guys, it means alot. Hopefully one day I'll get a better camera and you'll see some better pictures than what I have posted so far, the camera I'm using now was only $145. It does an alright job for what it is, just had to get used to it. I felt like an idiot Sunday when I was taking pictures on that little camera of mine and look around and everybody has these huge cameras with big flashes and stuff. :Ignor:

Yep. That was me talking about making the drive from Raleigh. It's really not a bad drive at all, especially for that event which was basically over around 8pm or so.

There's a lot you can learn with the camera you have. The fundamentals of photography are the same no matter what equipment you have. It's just that the higher-end equipment comes with increased capabilities that will allow you to work in more challenging environments. Dirt track racing is a challenge, and that challenge increases greatly when the sun is down.

I'm new to this myself. I'm finding out quickly that the more I learn about exposure, the more comfortable I am in any given situation. While your point-and-shoot camera might have limits on its manual settings, I'd still experiment with it. You can carry everything you learn over to your next camera.

It seems as if you are having FUN and that's the most important thing.

Yeah, I've seen your pictures, I saw it in a link over at another Forum on the internet... You took some great shots, every single one was excellent, in my opinion. Thanks for the encouragement, oh yeah, and you mention night time, once its dark, I might as well put my camera up, because its useless. lol
