ok, so the 07 racing season is all but over in the area and i think we all did good overall. the tracks seemed to work together and cars traveled. it was great to see fans, drivers, and crews from the tracks well represnted somewhere else when their respective track was off. with the rules being somewhat in line with each other, the cars can go run everywhere and be legal. and like i said, it was great to see the teams and fans traveling to other tracks. this is what it will take in the future for dirt track racing in the area to survive. thanks to all of the local businesses that put money up and sponsor these tracks to help the local racers out. as a track employee i really appreciate your effort as well as the drivers and crews.
so, with that said, here is my challenge to everyone for 2008. every week that you go to the track, invite atleast 3 new people to go with you each week. tell people that you see about the track that you go to and take every opportunity to promote local racing. sooner or later if someone heres enough about it, they will check it out. and who couldnt love local dirt racing? we need more people at these tracks to help us survive. so, who is up to the challenge?
