I was stood up by my best friend and my 10 year old daughter, so im solo Fri and Sat night. Not sure what day I will use the pit pass. Looked cold so I got a good deal at the Extended Stay in Charlotte.

I wanna go really badly but Charlotte is a long way for me to drive myself with the way I've been feeling. I may get my dad to come down from PA and we can split the driving from Richmond down to Charlotte. If that doesn't happen I know a couple of VSS guys driving down (just to spectate obviously). If I can't catch a ride with them I may need to plead for someone in northeast NC to take me the rest of the way (obviously I'd pay gas money). We'll see what happens this afternoon and evening when I talk to these people.

went and bought me a pair of insulated weather/wind proof overalls last night so I won't have to borrow pair from my brother anymore(he gets "upset when I use any of his during deer season if I'm not hunting...LOL)

well that is one heck of a deal. now just the 3 day stands is $59 and pit pass add on is $30 more so it would be $89 now for that combo. if i was going two days i would sure jump on that but right now i only plan on me and scdirtfan going fri and coming back. we will be hitting up the pits though.

Today is the day! I'm looking forward to seeing (and meeting more of) the Brodnax bunch. It looks like we'll have several seats in the same area. I'll be leaving from Raleigh around 11am to leave plenty of time to check out the Bass Pro shop. I've never been in it. For those I haven't met, I'll be in the pits most of the afternoon. I have a shaved head, a camera hanging around my neck, and a big black backpack on. If you recognize me, say hello!

Ah- and for those with Tivos or DVRs, set it now if you haven't! :smile:

Seats are numbered like Nascar and they are aluminum.. I would get there as early as I could, I don't think it would be a sell out by any means but will probably get crowded. Most of the LRC crowed will be over by turn 4..

Also, if you are planning on staying in a nearby hotel, you might be too late if you don't have reservations. EVERYTHING on Speedway Blvd was sold out days ago. I found a place a few miles away on University City Blvd.

The seats are aluminum, all are reserved and have numbers. You can get a chart off the Lowes web page. Most of the seats have backs, however the lower seats do not. Not sure if this is still possible but I would try to call and order your seat, you can pick the ticket up at willcall. My $.02 its better to sit higher off to the sides then lower, but there are no real bad seats. They allow seat cushions.

If you have to buy at the gate, yes I would get there early, buy them and head to the parking lot and tail gate till race time. Concession food is Nascar priced.

ever time i've been there.....we always sat as a group ...never found our real seats....so i would say ..if it's like always.....sit where ya want....
of course everbody cant sit up top tho......but it would be warmer that way...LOL

It is ALWAYS fun at Lowe's........seating is reserved, but I am sure you can get tickets at the gate with no problem.......we have ours in Section 405 this time, some are on row 18, some on 19, we're on 26 and 27 and there are some of the LRC crowd in section 403 and 104 I think.....
