2008 GENERAL RULES

1. The track reserves the right to refuse entry to any car, driver, crew memeber, or fan due to any rule violation or incident.

2. Due to insurance regulations, all in the pit area must sign a waiver / release form.

3. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times for safety reasons.

4. Absolutely no weapons of any kind on the raceway premises.

5. According to insurance regulations, anyone driving a race car at any time must wear a fire resistant uniform, gloves, safety approved helmet, and have a five-point harness.

6. All cars must have a working fire extinguisher secured and within the driver’s reach.

7. Anyone receiving injuries at the race track must report the injuries to the proper officials before leaving the raceway grounds.

8. Driver’s must be atleast 18 years of age or 11 and have a release signed by a parent or guardian, who accompanies the minor each week of racing.

9. No car owner’s, mechanics, crew member’s, driver’s, or any other participants shall have a claim for damages or expenses against the raceway, it’s officials or employees.

10. The decision of the track officials on the interpretation of the of the rules, scoring, flagging, and race procedure are final.

11. A car can run in only one division per night. A driver can run in only one division per night unless pre-approved by the raceway.

12. If a driver enters and starts three races in a division in a season, that driver may not move down to a lower division that same season, unless pre-approved by the raceway.

13. Driver and car owner assume the responsibility of their crew in every respect. If a crew member starts an altercation, the driver and car owner assume responsibility and may be fined and / or disqualified. If you go to anothers pit area you will be held liable.

14. Maximum two people at a time may confront a track official with a question or complaint. Do not argue with a track official, you may be fined and / or suspended.

15. Working on cars on the race track is not permitted at any time. Cars will be penalized for infraction of this rule. Track officials are not permitted to remove body parts or assist a car in any way. You will be required to go to the pit area, if the damage is a danger to other competitors.

16. If we are forced to call a race for any reason, it is final if half the laps are complete.

17. Any car bringing out a caution flag three times unassisted may be sent to the pits.

18. Rough driving will be dealt with through fines and/or suspensions. This may include loss of winnings and points for that night.

19. Any car light at the scales during qualifying will start at the rear of the field in the feature race. Any car light at the scales during the feature will be disqualified with no points or money.

20. Only one person per car is allowed at the scale area after a race. No others may enter the tech shed.

21. No car can recieve assistance from from another car on the last lap of the race.

22. Only the driver or registerd car owner may register a car for the race.

23. Only the driver or registerd car owner is allowed to recieve the winnings at the pay off window.


SCORING PROCEDURE

1. All driver’s must be prepared to compete in the event for which they are scheduled. If a car is not at the starting grid, when the field starts to pull away, that car will be relegated to the rear of the field.

2. You must run in the heat race that you are registered. No changing heats.

3. Race back to the flag on the first and last lap, unless the red light is turned on. If the red light is turned on, we will make an effort to freeze the field and score the cars as they are and that lap will be counted. If the accident occurs before the leaders pass the flagstand on the initial start, we will do a double file start.

4. All cars bringing out the caution flag will be sent to the rear of the field.

5. When the caution flag waves, cars are to hold thier positions.

6. Any car that spins out another car will be sent to the rear of the field.

7. Any car that spins out another car on the last lap of the race will be placed behind that car in the final payoff.

8. Any car that spins or stops to avoid hitting a spinning car will go back to its original position, unless it makes contact.

9. Cars going to the pit area under caution will go to the rear of the field.

10. Lapped cars will hold their position in line, unless they choose to go to the rear of the running order. In the last five laps of the race, all lead lap cars will be placed ahead.

11. Caution laps will not be counted.

12. We will attempt to give a car time to change a flat tire during the feature races, pending time limit and weather. Do not abuse this rule!

13. If a car jumps the initial start of a race, it will be given a warning. If this happens a second time, it will go to the rear of the field. If a car lags back to get a running start, it will be given a warning. If this happens a second time, it will go to the rear of the field. THE FLAGMAN STARTS THE RACE !!!

14. If a car jumps on a restart, it will be penalized one lap. A restart is determined when the leader takes off or when the green flag waves, whichever come first. On a restart, the leader may start between the caution lights in turn three and turn four. The leader must maintain a constant pace at a reasonable speed.

15. Any car that receives the black flag will no longer be scored. If a car is ruled to be a danger, the race will be stopped and the car will be forced to the pits.

16. Cars receiving the move over flag need to adhere to this flag. This means to allow the leaders room to pass. If you are running at the top of the track, stay there. If you are running at the bottom of the track, stay there. Hold your line.


RACE PROCEDURE

1. If a driver wins three races in a row, that driver will start in the rear of the feature the next regular event. If the next event happens to be a special event, it will carry over to the next week. Cadets have their own race format.

2. If a driver wins ten or more races in a single season, that driver will have to move up to a higher division the next season. This rule applies to PURE STOCK FOUR CYLINDER and PURE STOCK V-8.

3. At the conclusion of the feature race in each division, the top five cars must report to the scale area before entering their pit area. The winner in each heat race must report
to the scale area before entering their pit area. Only one person allowed with each car at the scale area.

4. If a crew member goes onto the racetrack to work on a car, that car will be black flagged and sent to the pits. If a crew member goes onto the racetrack to start trouble, that car will be disqualified.

5. If a driver gets out of their car on the race track that car will be sent to the pits. If the driver attempts to start and altercation, they will be disqualified. If the driver does start an altercation they will be suspended.

6. Any post race altercations will be dealt with through fines, disqualifications, and / or suspension.

7. Any altercation with a track official is an automatic suspension and / or disqualification.


PROTEST PROCEDURE

1. Questions or protest can only be made by the driver or listed car owner. Protest must be declared while at the scale area.

2. Visual protest must be made prior to qualifying at no cost to either party involved.

3. All protest must be paid in cash. NO CHECKS.

4. Maximum cooling time on a protested engine is one hour.

5. Only the driver finishing behind said car may file a protest. Only the top three positions may be protested. If you want to file a protest on more than one car, you must put up money for each.

6. Only two people from each car will assist with the protest. If any conflict arrises during the protest, the protest will be canceled by the track. And the party that causes the conflict will forfeit the protest.

7. If you are found to be illegal, you will be disqualified, resulting in a loss of points and money for that event.

8. If a protest is refused two times in a season that driver will loose points up to that night and will have to show the engine to the technical inspector before being allowed to race in that division again that season. You may run in a higher division without showing your engine.

9. There will be an equal tear down in all protest. Both parties put up equal money and show equal parts.


LATE MODEL , THUNDER & LIGHTNING , SUPER STOCK FOUR CYLINDER

The track will receive $150 of the protest money. The winner of the protest will receive $450 of the protest money.

PURE STOCK V-8 , PURE STOCK FOUR CYLINDER , CADETS (ROOKIE DIVISION) ================================================== ======================
A partial protest ( top end or bottom end ) will be $300 from both parties

The track will receive $150 of the protest money. The winner of the protest will receive $450 of the protest money.

A full protest ( complete engine ) will be $500 from both parties

The track will receive $250 of the protest money. The winner of the protest will receive $750 of the protest money.

2008 CADET RULES

BODY AND CHASSIS SPECS

1. Any stock appearing metal bodied four cylinder car or truck -- 1965 through current year.

2. You may run fabricated doors and front fenders, but they must appear stock and be securely fastened. Doors and fenders must be steel or aluminum. The roof, roof post, and rear quarter panels must be stock. This means no modification. If possible, run the stock body panels. Stock appearing bumpers -- front and rear.

3. Entire floor pan and firewall must be in one piece. FLOOR PAN MUST NOT BE CUT. FIREWALL MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION.

4. Boxed-in interiors permitted behind the driver’s seat, but must have a removable inspection panel on the right side. Do not box-in the area beside the driver’s compartment.

5. The front firewall must have all openings covered incase of fire or fluid leak in the engine compartment. The rear firewall must be covered with sheet metal or aluminum to seperate the driver’s compartment from the fuel cell area, but the existing firewall must remain intact. Do not gut the inner trunk, leave as much as possible.

6. A fuel cell is mandatory. It must be in a steel container and properly fastened.

7. The battery must be securely braced and seperated from the driver.

8. The front, main, and rear chassis rails must remain in the car, but you may run tubing on the top of the rails to secure the roll cage. Minimum four-point cage , with driver’s side door bars required. Full cage recommended.

9. You may tie the unitized body together. Absolutely no bracing under the car.

10. All cars must maintain the stock wheelbase. Rear wheel drive cars only.

11. Must have make of car on the right side and C.C. on the hood or front fenders.

12. Rear spoiler height is six inches maximum on top of the trunk lid. No side spoilers. No roof mounted spoilers.

13. Windshield is optional, if removed, you must have three bars on the driver’s side, along with protective screen or shield. No front side door windows allowed. You may fill-in rear side openings, if applicable. All other glass must be removed

14. Remove all the plastic and trim that could cause debris from getting in the track.

15. Cars must weigh one pound per C.C. with the driver after the race. 2000 lbs minimum and 2400 C.C. maximum.


ENGINE SPECS

16. Engine must be in stock location, this means stock height and set back. You may run solid motor mounts, but they must be stock size.

17. No decking allowed on the block, must be factory production steel block. All components of the engine must be stock production for the serial number of the block, unless otherwise specified.

18. Must run a stock oil pan. May relocate oil filter. No oil cooler.

19. Engine may be balanced, but no stroking or de-stroking of the engine. Engine can be bored to the maximum C.C.

20. Stock crankshaft and rods. No knife cutting, polishing, or lightening of any kind.

21. Stock type pistons only. OEM type aftermarket permitted.

22. Stock type clutch and flywheel. May surface only.

23. Stock production head and intake. No porting or polishing. No spacer between the head and the intake.

24. Stock size valves -- no cutting for valve springs. No after-market double valve springs. May use factory stock double valve springs.

25. No cutting the lifter boss. No lash caps.

26. No aftermarket timing gear allowed. No external adjuster. Must run factory stock lifters. Must run a stock OEM cam. No racing cam.

27. May use a stock exhaust manifold or headers. Mufflers must be used.

28. Must run a stock carburetor , Holley 350 CFM , or Holley 500 CFM. On the Holley, no modification except for choke housing. Fuel injected engines may replace the fuel injection system with a stock intake and run a stock carburetor , Holley 350 , or the Holley 500.

29. Maximum one inch spacer allowed to fit the carburetor to the intake, with the Holley carburetor. Electric fuel pump permitted.

30. Must run a stock distributor and factory stock ignition system. No magneto and no dual point distributor.

31. Transmission and differential -- stock manufactured. Locked rear end permitted. Transmission must have all forward and reverse working gears.

32. All cars must have a scattershield and/or approved bell housing.


SUSPENSION SPECS

34. Shims allowed on rear coil springs only. Lowering blocks permitted.

35. Shocks must bolt in the stock position. No adjustable shocks.

36. Springs must be located in the stock position. You may run after market springs, but you may not modify the spring bucket in any way. No coil springs attached to the shock.

37. No screw jacks, wedge bolts, or adjuster cups. No shackles. No adjusters of any kind.

38. Strut cars must run stock or OEM replacement components, may brace top of tower. May alter the top of the strut tower with a slotted plate for the purpose of setting caster / camber.

39. Stock front and rear sway bars only, no adding of additional devices. No adjuster allowed.

40. Any steel wheel 8"W maximum. One inch lug nuts recommended. No bead locks. No wheel flares. Safety beads recommended.

41. Racing fuel or unleaded gasoline only, standard octane recommended. No alcohol. No additives.

42. Cars will be inspected. Track official has the final approval.

43. A tire rule will be enforced. --- D.O.T. approved street radials. Any size.

2008 PURE STOCK FOUR CYLINDER RULES

2008 PURE STOCK V-8 RULES

BODY AND CHASSIS SPECS


1. Any full chassis American made metal bodied car -- 1960 through current year. No trucks, vans, convertibles, t-tops, four wheel drive, or station wagons allowed. Rear wheel drive only.

2. No unitized bodies except for Chrysler. Miminum wheel base on a Chrysler is 106".

3. You may remove the front inner fenders. You may cut the front and rear outer wheel openings for tire clearance only.

4. You may run fabricated doors and front fenders, but they must appear stock and be securely fastened. No other alterations to the body are allowed.

5. No boxed-in interiors allowed. Entire floor pan and firewall must be in one piece. FLOOR PAN MUST NOT BE CUT.

6. The front firewall must have all openings covered incase of fire or fluid leak in the engine compartment. The rear firewall must be covered with sheet metal or aluminum to seperate the driver’s compartment from the fuel cell area, but the existing firewall must remain intact. Do not gut the inner trunk, leave as much as possible.

7. A fuel cell is mandatory. It must be in a steel container and properly fastened.

8. The battery must be securely braced and seperated from the driver.

9. The front, main, and rear chassis rails must remain in the car, but you may run tubing on the top of the rails to secure the roll cage. Absolutely no bracing or tubing of any type under the floor pan.

10. All cars must maintain the stock wheel base. Rear wheel drive cars only.

11. Must have make of car on the right side and C.I. on the hood or front fenders.

12. Rear spoiler height is seven inches maximum on top of the trunk lid. No side spoilers. No roof mounted spoilers.

13. Windshield is optional, if removed, you must have three bars on the driver’s side, along with protective screen or lexan. No front side door windows allowed. You may fill-in rear side openings, if applicable.

14. The grille and all other glass must be removed.

15. Stock appearing bumpers -- front and rear. Front and rear bumper bars are recommended. May run an after market nose piece, if necessary.


16. Cars must weigh 3200 pounds with the driver after the race.


ENGINE SPECS


17. Maximum C.I. is 371.


18. Engine must be in stock location, this means stock height and set back. You may run solid motor mounts, but they must be stock size.


19. No decking allowed on the block, must be factory production steel block. All components of the engine must be stock production for the serial number of the block, unless otherwise specified.


20. Engine may be balanced, but no stroking or de-stroking of the engine.


21. Stock crankshaft and rods, no modification of any kind.


22. Stock type pistons, OEM after market type permitted. No dome top pistons. No Keith Black or racing pistons of any kind.


23. Stock flywheel -- 14.5 lbs minimum. Stock clutch -- no trick clutch. Pressure plate and release bearing stock type or OEM replacement. No oil coolers.


24. Stock production head, no modification of any kind. No double hump or Vortec heads. No angle plug heads on GM cars. Must be stock factory C.C. on the heads. No angle milling and no cutting inside the valve pocket. No three angle valve job.


25. No pin studs or screw-in studs, unless factory stock. No push rod guide plates or stud girdles.


26. Must have stock size valves and springs -- no cutting for valve springs. Maximum valve sizes are 1.940 intake and 1.500 exhaust. Must be stock type rocker arms. May use poly locks or stock nuts.


27. 450 maximum lift cam, checked at the valve. Must have hydraulic lifters. No mushroom lifters.


28. Must run factory stock cast-iron intake, no modification of any kind. No spacer allowed between the carburetor and intake.


29. Must run a factory stock four-barrell carburetor, no modification except for jetting and choke housing. Carburetor claim rule is $100 or $50 and equal exchange on the stock carburetor. Only the winner may be claimed by the track or top three car.


30. May run a Holley 500 CFM (4412), inplace of the stock four-barrell. No modification except for choke housing. MUST PASS THE TRACK TOOL. Maximum one inch spacer allowed to fit the carburetor to the intake with the Holley 500.


31. Manual fuel pump only.


32. Must run a stock distributor. No dual point distributor. No after market ignition system.


33. Headers permitted. Exhaust must exit the rear of the manifold. No zoomies. No cross-overs. Mufflers must be used.


34. No test parts. No Corvette parts of any kind, unless otherwise specified.


SUSPENSION SPECS


35. Transmission and differential -- stock manufactured. Transmission must have all forward and reverse working gears. You may run an automatic transmission, but it must be a three speed. You may weld the rear end gears or run a spool, but no other after market devices. Must run stock brakes.


36. All cars must have a scattershield and/or approved bell housing.


37. Must use the stock upper and lower A-frames and mounts, they may not be cut or modified.


38. Stock type shocks -- must bolt in the stock position. No adjustable shocks. No coil springs attached to the shock.


39. Springs must bolt in the original position. You may run after market springs, but you may not modify the spring bucket in any way.


40. No screw jacks, wedge bolts, or adjusters of any kind on the front or rear springs.


41. Shims allowed on the rear coil springs only. Lowering blocks permitted.


42. Any steel wheel 8"W maximum. No wheel flares. No bead locks. Safety beads recommended. One inch lug nuts recommended.


43. Racing fuel only. No alcohol. No additives.


44. Cars will be inspected. Track official has the final approval.


45. A tire rule will be enforced. --- D.O.T. approved street radials. Any size.

2008 SUPER STOCK FOUR CYLINDER RULES

BODY AND CHASSIS SPECS

2. You may relocate newer bodies to older chassis. You may run a fabricated body, but it must conform to stock specs. No straight sides. All components of the body must be steel or aluminum.

3. Stock appearing bumpers -- front and rear. After market nose piece allowed. MUST MATCH MAKE OF CAR. (If available).

4. Entire floor pan and firewall must be in one piece. FLOOR PAN MUST NOT BE CUT.

5. Boxed-in interiors permitted, but must have a removable inspection panel on the right side. The interior must be strong enough to support the weight of an emergency personel, if necessary.

6. The front firewall must have all openings covered incase of fire or fluid leak in the engine compartment. The rear firewall must be covered with sheet metal or aluminum to seperate the driver’s compartment from the fuel cell area, but the existing firewall must remain intact. Do not gut the inner trunk, leave as much as possible.

7. A fuel cell is mandatory. It must be in a steel container and properly fastened.

20. Stock stroke crankshaft, may be after market or stock. Can use any after market rods.

21. Any flat top pistons. No dome tops, unless they are OEM stock replacements.

22. Any clutch and flywheel. No oil coolers.

23. Stock production head and intake. No porting or polishing of any kind. This means stock. No spacer between the head and the intake. No fuel injected heads. No factory dual plug heads. One spark plug and two valves per cylinder maximum.

24. Stock size valves -- no cutting for valve springs. Double valve springs permitted.

25. Cutting the lifter boss is permitted. Lash caps are permitted.

26. After market timing gear allowed to match cam key type. External adjuster permitted. No roller cam or rockers. Any flat tappett cam.

27. Headers permitted. Mufflers must be used.

28. Holley 500 CFM (4412). MUST PASS THE TRACK TOOL. May run the 350 CFM carburetor.

29. Maximum three inch spacer allowed to fit the carburetor to the intake. Electric fuel pump permitted.

30. Must run a stock distributor. May run an after market ignition system. No magneto and no dual point distributor.

32. All cars must have a scattershield and/or approved bell housing.


SUSPENSION SPECS

33. Shackles permitted on the rear springs. Lowering blocks permitted.

34. Shocks must bolt in the stock position. No adjustable shocks. Ford Pinto may relocate the front shocks for wedge bolt assembly.

35. Springs must be located in the stock position. You may run after market springs, but you may not modify the spring bucket in any way. No coil springs attached to the shock.

36. May run screw jacks, wedge bolts, or adjuster cups.

37. Strut cars must run stock or OEM replacement components, may brace top of tower. May alter the top of the strut tower with a slotted plate for the purpose of setting caster / camber.

38. Stock front and rear sway bars only, no adding of additional devices. No adjuster allowed.

39. 10"W X 13" rims. 10"W X 13" tires. No wheel flares to extend beyond two inches of the outer wheel. Bead lock rims permitted. Safety beads recommended, if not running bead locks.

40. Racing fuel only. No alcohol. No additives.

41. Cars will be inspected. Track official has the final approval.

42. All other provisions will be dealt with through weight penalties, at tracks discretion.

43. Any compound and brand of tires.

2008 THUNDER & LIGHTNING RULES

BODY AND CHASSIS SPECS


1. Any American made metal bodied car or truck -- 1960 through current year. No vans, convertibles, t-tops, four wheel drive, or station wagons allowed. Rear wheel drive only.

2. You may run after market bodies, but they must appear stock. Body components must be made of steel or aluminum.

3. Boxed-in interiors are permitted, but must have a removable inspection panel on the right side. If you box-in the area beside the driver, it must be sufficient enough to support the weight of the driver or emergency personel incase of emergency.

4. Floor pan and firewall must be intact. May run an aftermarket replacement steel floor pan.

5. The front firewall must have all openings covered incase of fire or fluid leak in the engine compartment. The rear firewall must be covered with sheet metal or aluminum to seperate the driver’s compartment from the fuel cell area, but the existing firewall must remain intact. May remove the inner trunk area.

6. A fuel cell is mandatory. It must be in a steel container and properly fastened with safety straps.

7. The battery must be securely braced and seperated from the driver.

8. The front, main, and rear chassis rails must remain in the car, but you may run tubing on the top of the rails to secure the roll cage. A sub-frame connector may be used to tie the unitized body together. This tubing should not extend pass the original rails on the front or rear. Do not tie the suspension to these rails.

9. All cars must maintain the stock wheel base. Rear wheel drive only.

10. Must have make of car on the right side and C.I. on the hood or front fenders.

11. Rear spoiler height is eight inches maximum on top of the trunk lid. No side spoilers. No roof mounted spoilers.

12. Windshield is optional, if removed, you must have three bars on the driver’s side, along with protective screen. No front side door windows allowed. You may fill-in rear side openings, if applicable.

13. The grille and all other glass must be removed.

14. Stock appearing bumpers -- front and rear. Front and rear bumper bars are recommended. Rear bumper bars must not extend past the centerline of tires and must be capped and sharp edges must be grounded off. You may run an after market front nose piece. MUST MATCH MAKE OF CAR. Rear panel must be a minimum of 8" down from deck lid.

15. Cars must weigh 3000 pounds with the driver after the race.


ENGINE SPECS

16. Maximum C.I. is 371.

17. Engine must be in stock location, this means stock height and set back. 1/2" tolerance. You may run solid motor mounts, but they must be stock size.

18. Zero decking allowed on the block. No Bowtie blocks allowed. Must be a factory production steel block.

19. Must be a stock stroke crankshaft. Any steel rods permitted.

20. Any flat top piston. No dome top pistons.

21. Any clutch and flywheel.

22. Stock production head, no porting and polishing. Vortec heads allowed. No angle plug heads on GM cars. May angle mill the heads. No cutting inside the valve pocket. May match port the intake runners 1/2" maximum. *** See rule 44 for other cylinder head options.

23. May cut the spring pocket for bigger valve springs Maximum valve sizes are 2.020 intake and 1.600 exhaust.

24. Any high lift cam, may run solid or hydraulic lifters. No mushroom lifters. Roller rocker arms permitted. Roller cams are not permitted. Rocker studs may be pinned or screw-in type withpush rod guide plate and stud girdles. May use poly locks or stock nuts.

25. No dry sump oil system allowed.

26. Any intake, but can not be ported or polished. May angle mill the intake to match the heads. No dual gasket on the intake. No spacer allowed between the head and intake.

27. Any two-barrell bowl type Holley carburetor.

28. Maximum one inch spacer allowed to fit the carburetor to the intake.

29. Manual fuel pump only.

30. Battery type ignition only. No dual point distributor. No magnetos. May run an after market ignition box and coil.

31. Any headers or exhaust manifold permitted. Exhaust must exit the rear of the manifold. Mufflers must be used.

32. No test parts. No Corvette parts of any kind, unless otherwise specified.


SUSPENSION SPECS

33. Transmission and differential -- stock manufactured (interchangeable). You may weld the rear end gears. You may run a 9" floater. You may run a spool, but no other after market devices. No quick change rear ends.

34. All cars must have a scattershield and/or approved bell housing.

35. You may run rear disc brakes. You may run after market pedal assemblies.

36. The stock lower A-frames may not be cut or modified. You may run after market upper A-frames and mounts.

37. Screw jacks, wedge bolts, shims, or adjuster cups permitted on the front or rear coil springs. Front springs must bolt in the original position. May relocate the front shocks. No adjustable shocks on front or rear.

38. Lowering blocks permitted. Shackles permitted. Sliders permitted. May alter front location of leaf spring mounts to allow for sliders on rear. Both sides must be mounted at the same height. Wheelbase must be +/- 1" of stock. (Ex. , if stock is 104" , must be between 103 & 105)

39. No adding of additional suspension devices. No other adjustments allowed.

40. 10"W x 15" rims. 11"W X 15" tires. No wheel flares to extend beyond two inches of the outer wheel. Bead lock rims permitted. Safety beads recommended, if not running bead locks. One inch lug nuts recommended.

41. Racing fuel only. No alcohol. No additives.

42. Cars will be inspected. Track official has the final approval.

43. Any compound or brand of tires.

44. You may run the following cylinder head options, they are equal stock replacements.
