Was just reading Mike Kerchner's writeup about Andy Hillenburg's purchase of North Carolina Speedway (Rockingham) in National Speed Sport News and saw some interesting comments from Hillenburg.

Andy said, "I will make a promise that within 13 months (November 2008) there will be a race here." Kerchner says "Hillenburg has a commitment from a sanctioning body for a November 2008 event, but nothing will be finalized until after the sale closes. It is also expected that among the improvements to the facility will be the addition of a short-track asphalt oval within the first year and a dirt track somewhere in the future."

COMING..........THE DIRT TRACK AT THE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only thing is they will need to come up with a cool name. There is already a track called "The Rock" . I think the track is Alleghaney or something like that.
