I though that it was great sportsmanship on the 73 of Jerry Jones to assist the 79 of Lamb across the scales and into the his pit stall . See we can all get along. I had a great time all weekend and I talked to anyone who would listen Thanks CLR for hand shakes and hombleness.

It was very nice of Jerry to help Michael out, he even helped him get to the driver interview on the front stretch.

My reputation stands alone and there is no feeling in the world like running the day you came into this world. It is a true feeling of freedom and going back to nature.

That was a great gesture.

Things of that nature used to be the norm, but now they are the exception. What has happened? Weekend racing used to be a sport for fun and comradary. It seems now, when some people go to the races ,they are looking at all the negatives instead of the positives.

Some things happened this weekend that should not have happened. It is over and done with. There were more great things that occured than bad things. That is the case with everywhere you go and everything you do. Focus on the good events and you will appreciate things more. I was proud to be a part of the weekends activities, for the good and the bad.

I commend all the drivers for what they do each week at everyone of our local tracks. As JH may now tell you, it is alot harder and takes alot more time and work than most understand.

As for the fighting, it is never justified. As for further penalties, I am handling that. I will not make a decision without knowing all the facts first and I will not discuss that on a message forum. It will be dealt with, through the parties involved.

may next year I can help you promote a DERBY for the last race. The biggest thing is this past weekend was the same weekend they had the state championship at the fair and most of the heavy hitters from NC were there trying for the title and the big prize money also the six foot tall trophy. If we could stagger that I can help make it a big show. Just a idea ,but thanks for letting us stay Friday nite I know you did not have to let us. It was nice to see old freinds and hang out with them

James you are correct. When I got to see into the track operating side a couple of years ago I had no idea how much time everyone puts in. I had know idea how many people you had to try and please. Its a fine line between keeping the drivers vs the fans happy.

Until Saturday night I used to sit in a tower and thank why did that person do that, that was stupid, why didn't he do this. Well It is a lot harder and a lot more work than I had ever imagined. I don't know how people do it. I don't think the avg fan understands the time and money it costs for such little reward. If I had to guess Kelly spent in excess of $500 easy Saturday night (That's not counting any repairs to the car) We finished 13th and got $80. I dont know how teams do that each week. My hat is off to them from a fan and a announcer for spending the money they do just to show up.

I dont really have any answers or more comments on the fighting. I guess its just society touching the dirt racing community. But I will tell you over the last few years at Clary's and this year at CLR an especially this past weekend, I have met some of the most helpful and friendly folks around. Friends who just arnt there on Saturday Nights, but all through the year. I think those of us on message boards and the track promoting and the drivers as well need to start focusing on that part of the sport. It needs to be a way of life and entertainment for family's. I know temps run hot, but there has got to be a better job by all those involved on how those situations are handled. One of the biggest ways to handle it from the fans side, is stop focusing on that aspect. Talk about the great racing that went on Saturday night. The crazy guy who almost ran over his car owner LOL. In all the talks I have had with anyone about Saturday night that fight hasn't even been mentioned and if everyone else would stop talking about it and payback I bet it would die a slow death.
