since we did the research on this project....
they are from southeast ohio. Athens, OH or Parkersburg, WV area. carol can correct me, but i think mapquest showed somewhere around 460 miles from Clary's.
the 33 was the track champ at one track in WV (ohio valley speedway) and one in ohio this year. he set the track record at KC also and has won on 5 different tracks this year. two years ago this same team/equipment was 2 of 25 on the year! i would say they have made a slight improvement! i was told that this team had never been found wrong and they take alot of pride in that.
the other 3 cars run some of the same tracks and said they came in case the 33 broke they might have a chance to win - they were just picking at the 33. seems like they all get along pretty good.
i'm not the smartest on the tech end of this, but i have learned more in the last month than i ever cared to know...LOL they run full metric stock chassis and aftermarket bodies. same as some of the clary's cars. but they can not run the big tires? when they seen everyone down here on SLM tires i think they were very worried!
i had the chance to speak to them as they were leaving sat- make that sunday morning and they had great things to say about clary's and the folks down here. they said clary's was the smoothest track they had run on all year!
i went to a race up that way a few months ago and they had a BULLDOZER on the track filling in holes! also the tracks they race on each week has enough cars that they send cars home before the feature!
according to another message board, when these teams leave to attend "big" races, they call it the "MOV invasion"
well..... that brings up something interesting.... bigbrick and i were talking today (JH says that is the start of racing nut trouble... that maybe what started this..) and we think it is time to arrange for "southern invasion" or a "clary's invasion"
what do y'all think? skyline speedway says they are going to race until the snow flies... we know how they run on our track, can we outrun them on their track? i think we can! anyone up for it?

jr, there was only 1 of the ohio cars that had over 358 ci. and they did not have the largest motor in the field. some of the "large" motors did not make the feature.
one clarys driver told me that set up is what it took to win - he couldn't use all the motor he had because he had missed the setup just a little bit.
jr - sounds like your game, how much would it cost to make a "clary's invasion"?

well i know what 2 gears they told me they brought with them to clarys and it wasnt close to what the clarys regs run. but the 33 had 2 gears and he changed them and put the biggest one in. but he did tell us what they were and he said what gear he has ran at other tracks before to

well if his was the same as 33 they were alot diff than what we ran, but they didnt have to pull as much gear b/c they had more motor to pull them out of them turns
