why dirt is better than asphalt

why dirt is better than asphalt, does not matter who you are if you do not quilify up front , you go home.scott riggs qualified ninth today and still went home!!!:rules:like i have said before, i have been around racetracks since i was 5 years old. i have worked for dirt teams and asphalt teams and dirt is simpally the best racing in the world. i went to martinsville last weekend and it was just a reminder why i love dirt. i just won"t to thank local race chat for letting us air our views and not being like race rap ignoring post about dirt or saying anything negative about asphalt racing. heaven forbid you say anything bad about frank deiny jr. or denny hamlin. its time for us dirtdobbers to stand proud with clay all over bodies and cheer for the guys who have b***s to lift that left front up high in the air and let er eat!!! when the boys from sns can lift that left front, then i'll be impressed, until then real race cars run dirt!!!

While I still appreciate asphalt racing, and enjoy it on short tracks, dirt rules. I live in Raleigh so all the closest tracks are asphalt. I'll gladly drive the distance to see good dirt racing.

As for Race Rap, that is just one horrible mess of a web site in my opinion.

I'm hooked on dirt racing, but my hearts still in asphalt late model...so I can't really add anything either way ;)

Whew, I could gripe all day about NASCAR rules and still not be done. I really have issues with the whole "Top 35" thing, but I won't get into that. Thank goodness for dirt racing! Never a dull moment....and even if there was, it'd still be more exciting than asphalt! :dirt_race::dirt_race::dirt_race:

there is no question DIRT is alot better and more exciting than asphalt. i have never been to a local reg sat night asphalt race so i really dont know how it is but i cant imagine it being better than the DIRT SLM and all the other classes. the only asphalt racing i have saw was nascar and drag racing. but im dirt all the way

Couldnt have said it better myself! What makes even better is when they sell it in a cup. That lil layer of dirt is delicious.

ok here goes...i`ll say it again........there is 3 types of racing........DRAG RACING.....man thay go fast....but thay cant turn left or right..ASPHALT........yep thay go fast too ...they can turn left and sometimes have to turn right ,but only in an accidentDIRT RACING....where else can you see.......a driver drive fast go into a turn throw the car sideways...tote the left front....turn right..in a left turn.....while going sideways and make it thro the turn....down the backstretch left front still off the ground...get ready for the next turn ,set the left front down ..........THEN DO IT AGAIN........NOW THATS RACING BABY.........durn skippy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a fan of racing, Nascar, Openwheel, Boat, Snowmobile (dad was a factory support driver)
mudbogs, offroad, you name it I will go see it.
However SLM on a 4/10 dirt track is my favorite. 2 words kill short track paved racing for me. SPEEDY DRY, nothing worst, always end up covered with this crap, unlike red clay it tastes aweful in my brew. Every spin, someone dumps something on the track, big delays,more and more speedy dry.
