Congrats to #28 Chris Taylor on his 2nd place finish in the Super Streets. And a big CONGRATS to the #04 of Jeff Young on his 2nd place finish in the Late Model race last night. Absolutly the best racin I've seen all year!!! Can't wait to see them twist it up next Friday!!! Congrats to Kevin Smith in the VA11 on his win. Protested and still won. You guys are just simply hooked to the max!!!

. And a big CONGRATS to the #04 of Jeff Young on his 2nd place finish in the Late Model race last night.

That would have been great.... I'd love to see Jeff have a decent run up there..BUTTTTTTTTTT... he was DQ'd after the race... so, If I'm not mistaken Ricky Neal finished 2nd.

Hey guys,
Sorry I don't have the official rundown from last night due to being tied-up with the protest and things till late. But from memory and if it's wrong I apoligize.

Late Model
1. #21 Neal Welch
2. #21x Ricky Neal
3. #31 Bubba McGee
The second place car 04 of Young showed just a few pounds light at the scales. Hate that after the good run he had.

Crate LM
1. #4 Jamie McBride
2. #25 Joel Bray
3. #33 Dennis Canter

Super Street
1. #92 Steve Kirkman
2. #45 Victor Foley

Mini-Sprints
1. #13x Brian Roseman
2. #7 Tony Clements
3. #4c Jesse Burton

Mini-Stock

1. #11 Kevin Smith was legal after protest
2. #33 Robbie Brown good sportsmanship shown by Robbie all during engine tear down and shook hands and congradulated Smith on his win. The way a protest should work in my opinion.
3. #7 Mathew Warden
4. #9 Wayne Kendrick

UCAR

1. #45 Greg Vaugh
2. #4 David Marshall

These are what I remember, sorry to the other drivers not mentioned it was a busy night.
I'm sure I speak for Gary and Alesia when I apoligize about the track conditions, track did get rough but in defence of the owners, at least they did try to get rid of the little bit of dust we had last week. The sun didn't come out until race time Friday and it stayed too wet. After two days in bed with the flu Gary worked on the track Wednesday and it just faught back. Even though the drivers drove there heart out and put on a heck of a show for there fans, I applaud them for that. And the LM race was action packed but the track and some bad decisions during the race took it's tole on some cars.

well JH it was rough the track alittle racing alot
track record broke in late model track fast but
rough ????? I had a watch on 'em they were fast
I got a 78 on nance, the cars was jumping off the
corners hard, in the race noone wanted to let off
hard racing and bumpy track means wrecked cars
I hate it for those guys, but the track has been
top notch for the last 5 races or so, they deffantly
know how to prepare a race surface. hey only
three crates but a great show by them you could
have thru a blanket over them the whole race
but 3rd fell back a little on the last 3 or 4 laps..
only 2 lm fin i think 10 started.. wild is a mild word
I wish i could be racing but I go back to volvo
mon. have to start working on fri. I wish them
all the luck...you need to get up there before
the seasons is over>>>> one time i'll hook you...

I think he got DQed for a carb. spacer. I had forgot that when I put partial results earlier.

Thanks Wayne. Hard to keep up with all the action going on @RTR. Still great racing though. Gary

I thought the first race of the season was the best one so far, 95% of the cars finished and the racing was great, there was some respect on the track, everybody's just running over each other now just to get a spot, that's not cool. The fans love it but it cost the owners a lot of money and leave's a lot of driver's with hard feelings towards each other and brings in the GET EVEN factor where you're mad before you roll through the gate. I know there's gonna be bumping and rubbing, but there's too much bodyslamming going on and it needs to stop. I hate to see people loading their cars in pieces, don't care who it is, it cost too much for such nonsense. My idea of a great race is not 2 cars out of 8 finishing and if you'll talk to the 6 wrecked cars in the parking lot watching the 2 car shootout, they'll agree. I know some may not agree but coming from the other side of the fence that's JMO. And I'm not throwing off on the track, but the driver's need to chill out.

Official time was 13.82 and Welch turned a 13.83. Think Bubba was a 13.98. Track was super fast way better than last week you can't put enough water on it for me. Man I thought that 3 wide off four was going to work I could see the daylight at the end of tunnel. Shame it wasn't daylight it was a train or in this case a concrete wall. It was a long weekend but she is back together. After five weeks with a missing carb we hope its fixed this week. Figure the best thing I can do is drive away from the wrecks.

One of the things that suprised me the most was the respect the drivers showed at the final Clash race at FMS a couple a weeks ago. The best drivers (young and old) showing why they deserve to be in the top cars.

You know, the Clash races are about the cleanest you'll see as far as tours go. I ran in the last one at Wythe and that's the only race this season I've run that the body ain't been tore half off. Sure we did some bumping and rubbing, but we did'nt run over each other. You said it Crash!!!
