So how did the night go without the Supers? I heard there were people that came and did not know the supers were not running and left. I bet they don't make that mistake anymore, you can't run a track on support classes alone and survive. Even Limited lates or some sort of Crate would be better than a bunch of 4cyl. Not meaning to bash the track or the other divisions, because it's a nice track with some good racing and I hate to say I told you so. But I think the fan count last night speaks for itself. If you want to cancell the premier division do it a week in advance, if not call your drivers and get the word out. Looking forward to the next race because IMO it's all about the supers. :wings_unibrow:

What about the track would not survive without them.. :YesNo:

i disagree. there are lots of tracks out there that dont run them and they seem to be doing just fine.

Not really around here though. The majority of the people that go to Clary's are there for SLM's because that is what they are known for. CLR survives on their divisions because they have a heck of a 4 cylinder class that has good racing each week, their T&L class is good, along with their other divisions. Plus, they bring in Sprints from time to time. FMS has full classes of cars in each division and decent crowds each week, but I think it's a little bigger when the SLM's run. From what I heard about last night, parking was pushed out to the turn 3 & 4 area because it was packed. Why? SLM's were running. Clary's was basically vacant last night. I bet you money there was 140-150 folks on the grandstand side. Clary's is NOT like other tracks. They can't survive without late models. Someone said last night that someone tried to run a full season without late models and they lasted to the end of April. That should tell you something right there.

Ended too early for me(but thats a long story lol), as for the 4's, 3 is too many, 2 is bearable. Either combine yall or drop the Mod 4's. Mod's are faster, but you guys put on a better show and have more cars show. And I've also heard that awhile back before the Clarys bought it they tried to run the Supers every other week and only lasted a couple weeks. Red Dust, check your pms...

It was a bad night to judge fan count. I know friday night i saw alot of the Clary's crowd at the RR Truck & Tractor Pull most of the ones i talked with said they were going back on sat to see the pull again. One guy said he could see the race just about any weekend but the pull was only this weekend.

I do not know about the fan count but allot of the regulars were there. I went and had a ball. Sometimes the fan count is down sometimes it is up. That is how it goes all the classes put on a good show and they all need repect.

In defense of Clary's Speedway, the notice not to run Super Late Models was posted on Monday of this week giving everyone plenty of notice. Glad to hear it was another great night at the Ring Of Fire!!!!!! :luv_lrc:

I agree, all the classes deserve respect. We had a great time thanks to Marcia, JC, Chigger, Mackenzie, Danny, Christy, Lauren, Mason, Chilli, and Shannon, and who can forget Adrian! I enjoy being amongst friends regardless of what class is running, I just prefer to watch the SLM's along with all the rest.

But I know of one that heard it from others, not the promoters. He is one of the ones that doesn't have the internet. What about those? Do they have to hear it through the grapevine or do they deserve a courtesy call? Better yet, why not announce it at the previous week's driver's meeting if the thought was there about not running?

That was a great race Frank, totally agree and am glad I was there to see it.

Frank did you bump you head? Too many 4 cyl. classes. Stock classes need to look stock, super street need to look street then let the sportsman and late models look like late models. Too much difference front to rear. Needs closer from1 to 5 not run aways. Just my two cents. I was there and left middle of super street. Buddies did run very well. LOL:06Cool: Flying 11's to the front:check_flag:

some of us are from a track that dont have supers there all the time, but we still enjoy watching racing there. Supers is just a extra treat for us. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy the supers too,but to me a race on dirt is a race worth going to....

Frank I had my coat so I was warm but I was bored if Greg had been there or you I wud have stayed. Too many bees and not enough Honey so I left. I had loaded and unloaded 400 bales of hay and it would have been the lates coming up to have kept me after 10:00. We old racers cant stay up beyond our bed time. Our jet fuel runs out faster See ya Jim the jet( I think it is more glider pilot now)

I don't think its so much that there wasn't any supers as it was the Admission stayed the same. That was my reason for us not going anyhow. 15 & 25 for supers, needs to be like 12 & 20 when their not there I think.
